A small kitten of just a day in age was found a month ago by a kind woman as he crawled helplessly in search of his mother. The kitten had endured a violent downpour and was left to fend for himself until the woman scooped him up off of the footpath and gave him a home.

“He wasn’t meowing when I found him but he was crawling slowly along on his tummy as though he was trying to find his mother. Poor little mite,” said Kathryn Van Beek, the woman who found him.

So young his umbilical cord was still attached, the kitten would not survive on its own. He was brought home and given the name Bruce; just like famous orphan Bruce Wayne (Batman). At three days, he was purring and caring for him was a full time job. Kathryn made do by bringing him with her to work.

Now he is doing well and is still with his loving adoptive family.

Gintarė Bertauskienė is from Kaunas, Lithuania, and has been dreaming of having a Komondor dog for most of his life. As a child, Gintare received a postcard with one of these dogs on it and always kept it. However, the time came when she was able to fulfill her dream, and now she is the proud owner of Hanga, one of the 2 Komondor dogs in the country.

People mainly notice Hanga’s unusual coat. There are few breeds of dogs that have natural dreadlocks, and the Komondor is one of them. His coat, long and thick, requires a lot of care, but Hanga is lucky that Gintare is a pet groomer.

Hanga became an internet sensation when LADbible shared a video of the dog swimming in a lake. It has over 19 million views and Gintare even made some monetary profit from it, which he used to pay for Hanga’s operation.

Hanga also gets a lot of attention on the street. Passers-by ask Gintare if they can take a picture of his dog. “Sometimes we go to town in the afternoon, just to avoid so much attention,” the woman told Kas Vyksta. “Hanga is very protective and doesn’t trust strangers. If there are too many, she gets tense.”

Komondors were bred to keep livestock, so this is totally understandable. Their temperament is like that of most herding dogs: calm and composed when things are normal, but if they feel danger, they will defend the herd fearlessly. Komondors make their own decisions and act independently.

If you are thinking of acquiring a Komondor, you should know that with its size, strength, speed and temperament, if not trained to be obedient, it can result in dangerous situations. Usually, komondors are good at learning things, especially if they start early (ideally when they are 4-8 months old).

When Komondor puppies are born, they do not have dreadlocks, but a short white coat that gradually turns into fluffy curls as the dog grows.

When they reach 1 year of age, the curls begin to tangle in patches, and then human intervention is needed to separate them into individual dreadlocks. By the time the Komondor is five years old, the fur has reached its full potential.

Greater Rochester is home to an exceptional animal shelter by the name of Lollypop Farm.

Lollypop Farm Humane Society does incredible work – saving the lives of countless helpless animals and finding them wonderful new homes.

On the 12th of December, just last year, they were pleased to announce a recent adoption of a very special kitty on their Facebook page.

Zara Hamade found a litter of kittens and their cat momma in a junk yard, on a very hot July day in Detroit. “I heard squeaking and baby meowing. They were just born that day so they were extremely tiny!” she shared.

After finding them, she couldn’t bring herself to leaving them there, so she brought all the kittens and their cat momma home, where she provided food, comfort and care as they got old enough to be adopted but after cuddling and hugging all the kittens, one of them completely fell in love with Zara and wouldn’t let go of her. Zara decided to name the kitten Tiggie and provided a forever home for the fur ball.

This is Ah Fei, an adorable, chubby tabby cat who has won the heart of the internet with his incredibly expressive and dramatic reactions. Rescued from the streets by his new owner, Ah Fei (which means ‘fat’ in Mandarin) is a sweet, lazy, food-loving cat.

Apart from his laziness, Ah Fei responds very well to being stimulated, and when you move a stick in front of him or take away his food, it’s very clear what he feels. Ah Fei lives the good life in Jiangsu, China, where he and his owner Tang Chang play all kinds of games. And most of them seem to be designed to get expressions out of the cat that are worthy of memes.

If we did not know better, we would assume that the poor cat is in a constant state of stress, terror and disappointment. The truth is it’s very easy for Ah Fei to make those faces. Get this disgusting feather away from me, human!

No matter what that dog is trying to do to that pig, Ah Fei is not impressed. Playing with others? Feeling joy? Give me a break…

People all over the world love this glorious, grumpy, dramatic cat. He even has fanart. And although he sometimes seems cranky, we are sure he is happy with his new life with his owner and a comfortable place to call home.

While some people have complained of self-isolation and quarantine due to the covid-19 pandemic, some other starts adapting it. We have more time for ourselves and our family. We can also make use of this period to learn something new. Animals at the zoos seem to enjoy this time a lot. They don’t have close encounters with humans but they can make friends with other species that pay a little visit to them.

Texas State Aquarium did this for the dolphins living there. They let these cheerful and curious sea mammals see a sloth. There are a few species on the planet that are more excitable than dolphins and sloths. When the two hang out together, it never lacks joy.

Chico the 3-year-old local celebrity sloth was taken to the Texas State Aquarius to see adorable and smart dolphins there. When the dolphins spotted the sight of the sloth, they almost lost their minds with excitement. They immediately swam over the furry friend to say hello and kept grinning with it. They all went crazy for the sloth!

These dolphins look like playful and energetic kids when seeing someone they love for the first time. They can’t hide their special affection for these people. Making friends during the most boring days is probably the coolest thing for them.

As it turns out, animals love meeting up with friends and befriending new friends. The dolphins and the sloth in this story are an example. They have different shapes, sizes, and habitats but they can still get along with each other from the first minutes.

Although zoos closed doors during the pandemic, it’s a perfect time for the “residents” here to get to know each other. They themselves can be tourists and guests to their neighbors. Little joyful visits make sense!

“We frequently give the animals a chance to “meet” each other as a form of enrichment, which helps keep them active in body and mind. As some of our most popular animals, it seemed an obvious choice for our sloths and dolphins to get a chance to see each other while we were temporarily closed. We have another sloth, Xena, but on that day, she was more interested in sleeping than meeting the dolphins!” Said the Aquarium staff.

It’s no secret that service dogs play a huge role in helping the disabled balance their lives, but did you know that they could do a pawsome job helping other dogs too? Meet Tao and Oko, two adorable golden retrievers who are stealing hearts by being the best walking buddies ever!

Tao went blind two years ago after having both of his eyes removed when he was ten years old. His mommy Melanie Jackson first noticed the dog’s abnormality when he started to use his leg to scratch his face continuously and showed signs of visual impairment.

After taking Tao to the vet, Melanie learned some bad news: the poor boy was diagnosed with glaucoma. Given that Tao was in so much pain back then, they had no choice but to remove one of his eyes.

Unfortunately, 11 months later, he lost his other eye as well.

To be honest, Melanie feared the worst, but thankfully the brave doggo adjusted quite well to his brand new tough life. Despite losing his eyes, Tao was still the lively, devoted, compassionate boy that Melanie knew all along. According to Melanie, her incredible dog thrived splendidly after the surgery.

Even though Tao did way better than Melanie thought, she still knew that he needed a friend to comfort his heart and help him ease the sorrow. That’s how Oko came to their family.

The two golden retrievers get along pretty well, and Oko is even far beyond Melanie’s expectations. He is the best companion that Tao could ever ask for, especially on walks.

Since Oko showed up, the two endearing dogs have been inseparable and people just can’t get enough of these charming, fun-loving boys. One year later, little Oko is now a trustworthy grow-up doggo who does a great job taking care of his pal.

Their Instagram page has racked up over 56k followers so far, making Tao and Oko one of the most famous canine pairs on social media.

Melanie also wants to raise awareness for canine glaucoma through her two sweet boys. In addition to sharing meaningful messages on their Instagram, she also allows The Kennel Club to uses Tao’s DNA to detect the disease in other dogs, isn’t it great?

Mentioning lions, they appear to be fearless and powerful creatures, as their title ‘the king of the jungle’. These group hunters can cooperate to take down even large prey such as wildebeest or buffalo. But it turns out that sometimes they confront enemies that they couldn’t counter.

The incredible series of photos below shows a whole pride of lions seeking refuge on a tree. What put them up there was nothing of a formidable enemy, but an annoying swarm of flies.

The lucky photographer who caught this sight was Australian photographer Bobby-Jo Clow. He was on the way leading a photographic safari in the central Serengeti in Tanzania and stumbled upon this lion pride.

“Our guide spotted the pride in the trees and luckily we were able to get close enough to the lions to create some unique images.”

Having a chance to witness and take photos of such a special occasion was definitely a fortune. Bobby-Jo could even get close enough to hear the lions snoring. That was fun taking those pictures, some of them appeared rather clumsy when repositioning. Those big cats could be agile and skillful animals on land. However, they looked quite awkward on the tree as if they would fall to the ground at any moment.

This tree with large horizontal branches seemed to be a favorite getaway of these lions. However, there wasn’t enough room for everyone and the unlucky feline here, interestingly, was the alpha male of the pride.

It’s not easy to be a great leader!

The Serengeti ecosystem covers vast protected areas including the Serengeti National Park and several game reserves. This place is renowned for its large lion population and is amongst the best places to observe prides in their natural habitat. Other species of mammals and birds are also found here, estimated at about 70 types of large mammals and 500 types of birds.

This baby stoat was lost! A man found her and decided to help the poor creature.

He fed her and put her to sleep.

Now she is getting healthier day by day. She was named Whisper.

“There we go. She’s getting braver. The main thing she likes is human company. I feel a bit sorry for her in a way that she’s not got any playmates yet”, Robert Fuller, a wildlife artist told The Dodo.

But one day, a baby stoat was found suddenly. Now she has a bestie named Stuart. Whisper and Stuart love playing together- they are inseparable.

Meet this unique and adorable cat named Lucy. Cat has a rare neurological condition and for that Lucy looks like a bat.

But she is still cute though.

Her owner Zilla Bergamini saw her in a video and immediately felt in love with her unique beauty.

Even though she has a neurological condition, Lucy is still living her best life.

Cat lives with her owner in Haifa, Israel.

One day, cat started crying and was sick so Zilla sent her to the vet.

The new vet found out that the poor kitty hadn’t had a bowel movement in several days.

She also had to fix her eyes.

Now she is doing great and is feeling healthier day by day.

Finally this baby leopard reunited with his mama. And…that’s a great news.

This touching scene happened in India.

Leopard was seen alone in a sugarcane field and was sent to the vet immediately. Vet checked him out and said that this cub was so healthy.

Detroit Animal Welfare Group has posted incredible pictures of a bunch of parakeets. This was such a lovely gift on Christmas Eve.

A son found them at father’s home and notified the Group.

They were shocked at first but when they arrived discovered that there were 497 of them.

“We were in shock also but could not turn them away as they were all crammed in 7 cages and smothering each other and needed immediate help,” said the rescue group.

“We were able to reach out to some amazing bird rescues for help,” DAWG wrote on Facebook. “Jojos Flying Friends here in Romeo rushed right over and were able to take over 100 and the babies that require hand feeding. Birds and Beaks along with two other rescues will be here Sunday to take more.”

Till December 26, 2021 there are a total of 836 birds.

Her owner has told The Dodo that dog loves to snuggle.

“She’s is so hyper all the time and loves snuggles,” Burrowes told The Dodo. “[She’s] super friendly with all the neighbor’s dogs, but has a soft spot for Rocco.”

Now she and Rocco are besties and won’t separate from each other not even just for a moment!

Rocco used to have a best friend named Jak that he misses a lot.

“She met him as soon as she was allowed outside and they automatically clicked,” Burrowes said. “[Rocco] really missed Jak as they were really close so Beaù made it easier.”

Beaù adores to show love for other people. Also, she loves being massaged by Rocco. That’s so adorable.

“When he stops, she paws at him to do it back,” Burrowes said.

Yuliya has said that Kefir also weighs nearly 26.5 pounds.

For some people, the life of animals matters a lot. They go above and beyond to help them. For this rescuer, she never expected that her house would be full of large puppies just before Christmas.

No sooner did the rescuer get the message to come and save the nine dogs than she drove to where they were dumped and she put all of them into her hatchback.

The rescuer Redditor LostWingnut posted a very heartwarming video showing the chaos that the dogs created inside her home when they came to meet her four dogs. She wrote in the video, she just picked some dogs that were dumped on a mountain highway…. And they created chaos in her house.

After the video went viral, the people asked the LostWingnut about the rescue. She said that the nine puppies were spotted about six weeks ago. At that time when the rescuers went to find them, they vanished into the forest. Again when they were seen on the highway, she was contacted.

She further said that she was contacted as the animal control wanted to put them down. The shelters were full so they could not give shelter to these dogs. She explained that she was usually contacted when there was no other option left. The animals were mostly in life and death situation and nothing was left to get out of it then.

Unfortunately, before she reached the place, two puppies were hit by cars and they died. The remaining seven were rescued by LostWingnut. She lured them to her car.

After getting them into the car, they were taken to her friend’s house. Then she took them to her house. It was not an easy task as it was three hours drive. The seven puppies were very healthy. Only they were having the ticks on them and she managed to pull off a million ticks.

Of the seven, two puppies had found their home and one LostWingnut had decided to adopt. The white dog had won her heart.

The rescue made by her was really very great. The puppies were very lucky to have someone like her to look after them.
