Man added some cash inside a lost wallet before returning it to its rightful owner

They say that even the tiniest acts of kindness can go a long way, and the good deed one stranger did for a young man who lost a valuable belonging went viral and reminded us that we should never lose our faith in humanity.

Hunter Shamatt, a 20-year-old man from Brandon, South Dakota, headed to Vegas to his sister’s wedding and was hoping to have the best time. He did have lots of fun, but one thing made him feel very worried at the same time. Namely, Hunter lost his wallet along with $60 cash, a paycheck on $400, his debit card, and his ID. He had to borrow money from his relatives in order to be able to spend a few days in Vegas.

Speaking to The Washington Post, Hunter, who works as a carpenter, said: “It kind of sucked. I was anxious not having my ID… It being Vegas and all, I figured it was gone forever.”

To his surprise, just after he somehow managed with the plane company to return home, Hunter got a package. Inside was his wallet and a note signed with initials only. It read:

“Hunter, found this on a Frontier flight from Omaha to Denver – row 12, seat F wedged between the seat and wall. Thought you might want it back. All the best. P.S. I rounded your cash up to an even $100 so you could celebrate getting your wallet back. Have Fun!!!”

Wow! The man not only returned Hunter’s wallet, but he treated him with $40 as well.

Hunter’s mom, Janine, shared the note on her Facebook page, and they managed to track the good Samaritan down. It was a man named Todd Brown.

Hunter then sent a letter to Brown thanking him for his incredibly kind deed.

“Sir, I can’t thank you enough. What you’ve done for me is virtually unheard of.

Never in my life have I or my family witnessed such generosity. I never expected to see my wallet again, let alone with $40 more. Thank you so much, I’ve got student loans and a truck loan and it makes all the difference.”

Parents outraged after teacher forces 2nd graders to stick their heads into a bucket of urine

Being a teacher means being a role model and someone students look up to. But what happens when some of the educators find themselves in a situation where they can no longer put up with some students’ misbehaving and fail to cope with the challenges ahead of them? Unfortunately, in cases like this, many teachers opt for punishing the students using drastic and unacceptable measures and methods.

A situation that took place at the Cool Spring Primary School in King Williams, VA, back in 2016 raised the question of what ‘punishments’ are sort of deserved and what it means for teachers to cross the line.

What this teacher did, however, is simply outrageous. In an attempt to teach her students a lesson, she humiliated them and shook their self-esteem by forcing them to stuck their heads in a bucket full of urine.

It turns out that one of the kids peed in the bucket and all the class had to sniff the urine and try to guess who did it.

Shawn Martin, father of one of the students recalls the day his son got back from school.  The boy said how he felt miserable because he had a really rough day.

“And I said you’re an 8-year-old in the second grade,” said Martin. “How bad could your day have really been?”

The boy then told his parents what happened, and they were furious at the teacher. Of all the methods she could use to find out who peed in the bucket, she chose one that put the students in an awkward and unpleasant situation.

“She made every male student smell the urine in the bucket,” said Martin.

“Stick their head in the bucket, smell the urine, and give their opinion from the smell of the urine which child urinated in the bucket.”

The school leaders were informed of the incident but commented how it was a personnel matter. They also confirmed that the teacher, who has been teaching for 26 years, is still on the job.

“Appropriate action has been taken to ensure that such conduct does not repeat itself. We will have no further comment.”

The parents of the students affected by the incident required answers and weren’t satisfied with how the school handled the situation.

“I don’t think anything is appropriate. That lady was in there teaching my son today,” said Martin. “I don’t understand how the administration lets her come back and direct those kids.”

Martin filed a formal complaint citing “unprofessional conduct.”

“They want to sweep it under the rug like it never happened,” said Martin. “That is not acceptable.”

The school offered Martin to transfer his son to another class, but he believes that won’t fix the problem.

We simply can’t believe how an educator who’s been teaching for so long could do such thing, and we believe she should face the consequences of her action.

Mailman saves woman’s life after spotting her child wandering outside alone

Many times, when it comes to making decisions, we listen to our intuition. That gut feeling also tells us whether something bad is coming on our way.

Stephen Garofalo was on the job the day he could sense something wasn’t right. He knows all the people he delivers mail to as he’s been working as a mailman on the route in Wayne, New Jersey, for astounding 23 years.

Throughout his career as a delivery man, Stephen never experienced any inconveniences, neither he stumbled upon certain incidents or unusual situations. But that was all about to change when he spotted a two-year-old toddler wandering around the yard. What Stephen found concerning was the fact the child was all alone, unattended, and had a sad expression on his face.

When Stephen approached closer and asked the boy where his mother was, the little one pointed towards the house. After hearing that, the mailman felt like he should enter and make sure everything was alright. Once he was inside the place, he could see the boy’s mother hunching over a stroller, unconscious.

The woman had bad reaction to her medication and was just lying there unresponsive. Stephen immediately called 911 and asked for help. He stayed with her and her son until the paramedics arrived. A life was saved that day because of Stephen’s courage and kindness.

He later got a recognition from the United States Patrol Service for his action; he was presented with the Life Saving Award.

We believe what he did is really special. He didn’t think twice before offering help. He could have just ignored the boy, but he opted to care.

2-year-old boy forges an ‘over the fence’ friendship with his 99-year-old neighbor during lockdown

If anything, the pandemic and its subsequent lockdown allowed us to spend more time with our loved ones and in turn, appreciate them. But this difficult phase has been hard on people who live alone, especially seniors. Thankfully it is not the case for a Minneapolis woman, who forged a beautiful neighborly bond with a young boy. 99-year-old Mary O’Neill has an adult daughter, who lives in the area and visits her at least once every week. But the rest of her relatives are scattered and no thanks to the pandemic, they haven’t been able to meet her leaving the soon-to-be Centurian in seclusion.

Thankfully, she found a little friend just next door. It’s a 2-year-old boy named Benjamin Olson. Over the years, Mary has been watching the child grow through the chain-link fence that separates their properties. She has witnessed the boy as he learned to walk, talk, and eventually as he started running and playing.

“Benjamin just turned 2 years old, we’ve been neighbors with Mary long before he was born,” said Benjamin’s mother Sarah Olson. She explained that her family hasn’t seen Mary that much but when the pandemic hit and forced them to stay home, they frequently saw her outside. And as Benjamin began playing in the yard often, the elderly lady would come outside too. Eventually, the two began interacting and playing with each other.

 

 

Playing with Benjamin has rekindled O’Neill’s childlike spirit as she could be seen having fun with bubbles and even water guns. According to the news outlet, O’Neill has one granddaughter and she is already an adult. So for her Benjamin is the closest thing she has to a grandkid or great-grandkid at the moment. It’s been over a year since the two began playing together and they still love spending time in each other’s company. When she celebrates her 100th birthday in August, the Olson family hopes to be there with her to help blow out the candles, per the Good News Network.

Their friendship has touched thousands of people and Sarah thinks it could be because their relations formed so naturally. “We didn’t have to work on it at all, it just happened really naturally,” she said. “Friendship can just happen so many different ways, I’m just really happy they were able to form this friendship – quarantine or not, pandemic or not. I’m happy they formed this friendship because it means a lot to her and it means a lot to him too.”

Missing 4-year-old found dead inside his toy chest after climbing inside in the night – rest in peace

4-year-old Kache Wallis, who was found dead in his home after going missing, died of asphyxiation, authorities have confirmed.

The young boy, from Hurricane, Utah, had disappeared and was reported as missing after being put to bed the night before.

Police and local volunteers embarked on a frantic search for Kache, but he was tragically found dead inside a small toy chest in his bedroom.

According to new reports, the Utah Medical Examiner’s Office have investigated the 4-year-old’s passing, and determined his official cause of death was “”positional asphyxiation.”

It was Kache’s grandmother who alerted the authorities after she woke up to find the boy gone from his bed. Police officers arrived and conducted a search of his home, but didn’t find him.

As such, a missing alert was issued, and the local community turned out in numbers to try and find him.

When a second check of his home was ordered, the boy’s body was found in a small toy chest within his bedroom. Family members were interviewed, and an investigation that included the medical examiner was conducted.

Sadly, it appears as though Kache climbed into the chest and then died of asphyxiation. His death has been ruled accidental.

The City of Hurricane Police Department said in a statement: “Our sincerest condolences are sent to Kache and his family.”

So many stories start with a father leaving his family to pursue his dreams, new love interest or selfishness.  You don’t hear many stories that start with a mother abandoning her baby and husband. In January 2015 Richard Johnson’s daughter Persephone was born, and his life was changed forever.  With this new addition Richard was the happiest he had ever been, until Richard’s wife ran away with their new baby to California.

Why? Everything seemed perfect…she was suffering from postpartum depression.  She reached out to Richard and threatened if he didn’t come get the baby right away that she was putting her up for adoption.

After he brought her home he was faced with a whole new set of problems.  He never raised a child before. How in the world was he going to function as a single father?  Richard did what most of us do these days he turned to Facebook. He found a page called Life of Dad that was dedicated to other single dads.

With this group Richard’s life turned around,  He shared his journey on the page. It was the most heartfelt testimonies I’ve heard.

Richard says that Persephone only know Jennifer as Mommy now.  Even Jennifer’s parents are embracing the little girl as their grand daughter.
