This Mama Kitty Has Been Comforting Soldiers All Across The World And Now She Is Going To The Loving Home She Deserves

Sergeant Kelsey met a gorgeous orange mom kitten while on active duty in the Middle East, and the two became close friends. Sgt. Kelsey, on the other hand, was well aware that this cat need her assistance.

She was definitely underweight. Her eyes and nose were also infected. Her tail was damaged, and she had little access to drink in the searing 126-degree heat. Kelsey was well aware that she would require assistance. According to Newsweek, service members are not permitted to bring their animals home with them.

So it was time to call Guardians of Rescue, a non-profit organization headquartered in New York committed to moving animals to loving homes.

According to Robert Misseri, the organization’s president and co-founder, it was evident that all three cats, particularly the unfortunate mother, needed assistance.

Misseri describes her as “visibly hungry, injured, and so frail that she could only move a few feet at a time.” “She was in severe need of assistance.” SGT. Kelsey began caring for the small cat and was inspired by her strength and will to live; she named her Sergeant Whiskers.”

When Kelsey was six weeks into her tour, she met Sergeant Whiskers for the first time. She waited patiently for the cat to trust her and nursed her back to health. Then she was introduced to her two nursing babies by this compassionate mom feline. She’d tucked them aside near the base, but out of reach of people.

Sergeant Whiskers and her darling kittens were a source of consolation for Kelsey and her fellow troops in what were also unimaginably difficult conditions. Sgt. Kelsey resolved to locate them a safe haven in the United States for this reason. According to Yahoo!, she realized this mom kitten and her cubs needed a warm home and a loving family.

That’s when she reached out to Guardians to see if they might assist her. And, according to Misseri, everyone was delighted to help.

In a statement, Guardians of Rescue president and co-founder Robert Misseri stated, “We are thrilled to help transport these dogs back to the troops’ home states, so they may live with their family.” “However, it’s something we can’t accomplish on our own.” In order to make a project like this effective, we need public support.”

Sergeant Kelsey and Guardians (who did not share Kelsey’s first name because she is still on active duty) are now seeking contributions to cover “medical treatment, flights, fees, and more” in order to send Mama and the kittens to the United States. In a statement, Misseri stated.

“We want to show our warriors that we care, and we’ll do everything we can to make their desire come true,” Misseri said. “Any donations to help Sgt. Whiskers and her pups get to safety are much appreciated.”

Misseri further points out that if a military camp has to relocate, service men are unable to carry the animal with them. He claims that leaving the animal behind might be “devastating.”

“We rush into action and do all we can to make it happen when we get a communication from them,” he added.

Because Guardians is a non-profit organization, it relies on contributions to rehome an animal in the United States. Donations are still being welcomed, according to Misseri, to bring this mom kitten and her family home. Sgt. Kelsey will come home to three kittens who will be overjoyed to see her again if they are successful.

Misseri expresses his thankfulness for being able to reconnect military members with the animals they rescued while serving overseas.

“When that military person returns, and they return after the animal returns to America,” he observes, “there’s a feeling that you can’t replace.” “The gesture, the phone call, and the video of gratitude are all timeless.”

It gives me great pleasure to know that Sgt. Whiskers and her kittens will soon be secure and cared for in a loving environment. This mom kitten will never have to worry about running out of food or water, or about finding a safe place to sleep. And she’ll have Sgt. Kelsey when she gets home.
