They are left behind by a heartless owner, blind, alone, unwanted and unloved!

DURING THE COLD WINTER OF CHRISTMAS 2014, THREE BLIND FELINE SIBLINGS WERE FOUND IN A WAREHOUSE.
Catherine Magno heard about three neglected kittens and stepped in to rescue them after finding out they had lost their sight due to cat flu, along with the heartless behavior of their previous owner.

She gave the three siblings the names Blue, Meadow, and Little Willow. Blue it turns out had been previously adopted. Unfortunately, because he kept crying for his sisters he was returned, reunited with his sisters in foster care.

“I had zero experience having adopted my first ever rescue kitten just a couple of months prior.” – Catherine stated that was her very first experience rescuing those three beautiful kittens on the fateful night of 19 February 2015.

“But their story touched my heart so much that I couldn’t bear the thought of them put in a cage at vet facility indefinitely or even worse.”

Having an animal put to sleep is heartbreaking, something no one wants to see, and definitely not one the three siblings deserve. That being the case Catherine was determined to save their lives. Being something she was new to, she was unsure how to care for the trio, especially since they had all lost their beautiful eyes.

“My perception was that it’s going to not only be challenging but will also require a lot of adjustments on my part.”

“The only adjustment early on was keeping everything where it was but they are remarkably adaptive.” And as she wonderfully put it: “Blind pets see through their hearts.”

Being blind doesn’t mean their hearts are not precious, on the other hand, these three cats were lovable and smart. “They each have their own personalities. But equally affectionate and wanting constantly to be by your side.” – Catherine shared.

“The trio was found abandoned in a warehouse just before Christmas of 2014. They lost their sight due to a cat flu that was left untreated by their previous owner”

“Big brother Blue was fostered by their previous guardian’s neighbor but the kitten cried all night looking for his sisters, so he was given back. Their story touched my heart so much that I couldn’t bear the thought of them put in a cage at a vet facility”

“That evening when I took them back home I had to keep them enclosed… within my apartment. I was scared because the articles I read about caring for blind pets was overwhelming. My perception was that it’s going to… be challenging”

“Except for blind pets lacking vision, they are no different than other cats. They each have their own personalities. But equally affectionate and wanting constantly to be by your side”

“With proper introduction, they get along with other cats just as well as sighted cats”

“I wanted to bring awareness that they really are just like any other cats”

“And it’s true what they say about blind pets – they see through their hearts”

Read these characteristics which almost all cat lovers have in common:

INTROVERTED AND SENSITIVE
It’s the nature of cats that they are not friends with everybody, and the same trait can be seen in their owners too. Usually, they live alone and are happy with their independent lifestyle. They are introverts but are comfortable hanging around with other people. However, they would need some me-time to relax and recharge.

CAT LOVERS LEAN TO LEFT
It has been observed that people with liberal political leanings prefer cats over dogs. You might be a liberal dog lover or a conservative cat owner; if you’re a liberal, you love cats and vice versa.

CAT OWNERS ARE OPEN-MINDED
Five traits – conscientiousness, neuroticism, extraversion, agreeableness, and openness are often seen in most cat lovers. As compared to dog owners, people who have cats as pets are more open and therefore, have greater artistic creativity.

ATTENTION SEEKERS
Just like their pets, cat lovers seek attention from people around them. They like to be the centre of all conversations. At times, cat owners rely on their pets for emotional support.

THEY RESPECT CATS MORE THAN ANYONE
Cat people respect cats more than humans, in general. The saddest sight for a cat lover is to see the animal on the streets without a home. Cat lovers are often seen making a special effort to rescue or rehabilitate homeless cats.
