Pregnant Stray Dog Can´t Stop Smiling After Surviving A Hoarding Situation

In a world when terrible news tends to dominate the media, hearing a touching story of rescue and hope is always welcome. That’s exactly what occurred after a pregnant stray dog was rescued from a hoarder’s house and couldn’t stop smiling despite having survived a horrible ordeal.

The pregnant and abandoned puppy was living in filth with many other pets in the hoarder’s home. She had been hungry, mistreated, and was in severe need of medical care. Thankfully, a rescue group intervened and saved her, transporting her to a secure and caring setting where she could rehabilitate.

Despite her challenging circumstances, the dog is now beaming from ear to ear, relieved to be safe and sound. Her joyous look has touched many people’s hearts, offering as a reminder of animals’ tenacity and the power of love and kindness.

The rescue organization has been giving her the medical attention she need, as well as the emotional support and care she requires to recuperate from her tragedy. They have also worked relentlessly to locate her and her puppies a loving permanent home.

This touching story not only demonstrates the power of animal rescue groups and the difference they can make in the lives of animals, but it also serves as a reminder of the need of treating all animals with love and compassion, regardless of their circumstances. It’s easy to forget that animals, like people, are sentient beings who experience pain, fear, and delight. But, stories like this one remind us that animals deserve our respect and care, and that we have the ability to improve their lives.

This narrative of rescue and hope is a beacon of light in a world that may sometimes feel dark and gloomy. It reminds us that there is still good in the world and that we all have the power to improve the lives of others, whether they are human or animal.

Fisherman see something odd stuck on an iceberg – soon realize the unimaginable truth

Labradors are one of my favorite breeds when it comes to dogs.

Labrador also happens to be a region on Canada’s east coast, sitting remotely in the most northern part of Quebec. Needless to say then, it is cold with a rough climate and rather isolated from the rest of the world. Instead, people live in harmony with nature, with fishing a major and important food source and industry in the area.

Among the treasures the sea has to offer in the area are crabs — which happen to be fisherman Alan Russell’s specialization. But when he and Mallory Harrigan were out at sea with their boat one day, they saw something very different from the crab they were used to — and it was a sight they would never forget.

It all began when they came upon a large iceberg, shaped like a mushroom.

Alan and Mallory soon spotted something unusual on top of the mushroom-shaped iceberg. At first, they assumed it was a seal, Mallory told The Dodo.

They decided to take a closer look — and that’s when they discovered that it wasn’t a seal at all, but rather a creature with four legs that does not normally reside at sea: It was a polar fox.

It’s unclear how the fox ended up there and for how long the poor creature had been stuck there in the middle of nowhere and awaiting a cruel fate.

But what’s certain is that the couple knew immediately that they had to do something to help.

An Unusual Rescue
Alan and Mallory, who have always been animal lovers, drove their boat towards the large iceberg, lining it up right against it.

The certainly already traumatized fox appeared scared of the newcomers.

“We were able to get him aboard even though he fought it,” Mallory said. “We knew we were his only chance for survival, as the winds had changed and were driving all the ice farther out to sea.”

The polar fox’s mood quickly seemed to improve after leaving the iceberg. The fisherman quickly arranged a small warm ‘bed’ for him onboard.

The fox might very well have given up hope, but after the rescue, his spirit quickly returned. They had some canned food on board which they promptly offered the shivering animal.

When they got to the harbor, they set him free. He simply shook himself off, and off he went.

Hopefully this fox will never end up in such a deadly situation again! Thanks to Mallory and Alan, this fox was rescued and now has a life to look forward to.

Woman waves to bear from her car – look at his unexpected response 1 second later

Who said a 280-pound bear can’t have personality? Well, one furry friend currently making the rounds online certainly does.

The bear lives in the Olympic Game Farm in Washington, where hundreds of animals live in large areas. Exactly how he ended up at the farm is unclear — he may have been rescued from a zoo and could not be sent back into the wild. But at least, here he is free to live as he wills. From time to time, people visit the farm to see the majestic animals.

Such as the woman in this story. When she saw the bear, she decided to wave. His response? Absolutely wonderful.

Visitors go to the farm to learn more about wildlife and see animals they may otherwise not be able to see in their natural environment.

One such visitor sat in her car one day and casually waved at the bear — at which point he returns her greeting, incredibly waving back!

Watch their magical encounter in the video below.

It’s a very short video clip, but I can watch it over and over again!

Please share if you also think that bears are amazing creatures!

5-year-old gets bitten by neighbor’s labrador – this sets off the family pit bull who does the unimaginable

Pit bulls are known to be aggressive and dangerous, this can be very true – that is if you treat them the wrong way. The same goes for most dog breeds, it all comes down to how well the owner raises their pet by making sure they feel safe.

No dog is born evil, everything is determined the way they are raised by their owner.

Maybe not everyone can agree on pit bulls, but I am sure everyone will agree that this pit bull is a real hero.

Five-year-old Remayah Hernandez was out riding her bicycle with her sister, when she suddenly stumbled upon Tank, the neighbor’s labrador.

Being the little dog lover she is, the little girl did not think twice about trying to catch its attention. All she wanted was to pet it. Instead the day ended in blood and tears.

The dog instantly attacked the girl by biting her right in the face.

Remayah, clearly terrified, started shouting for help. Her screams didn’t just get her mother to react but also their family dog – Trigger the pit bull. He was out in the family back garden and suddenly appeared to defy everything he had been taught as a puppy.

This meant having to leave the family back garden and jumping over the fence to attack another dog. Trigger ran to his 5-year-old owners rescue when he heard her cry for help and attacked Tank who ended being injured.

A pit bull attacking another dog usually stirs up emotions – given the breed’s reputation, it usually has sad consequences.

But in this case, Trigger did precisely the right thing.

The animal control at the Police station took Tank in and eventually had to put him down. The little girl was taken by ambulance to the hospital where she was treated for her injuries.

The family had saved money for a trip to go to Disney World – but instead had to use the money to pay for the costs of plastic surgery which their little daughter needed due to medical reasons after the attack by the neighbor’s dog.

That is when an online campaign was created where people were able to send the family money. The goal was to make sure Remayah would still be able to go to Disney World – and so she did! 1000 dollars were eventually raised to make this little girl’s wish come true.

The attack obviously left the little girl petrified, but more than anything, she was grateful for what her hero had done for her. Or as she now likes to call him – ”superhero”. In her time of need Trigger was really there for her.

The neighbor was at work that day, and it is still unclear how the labrador managed to escape onto the street to roam around freely in the neighborhood. When he was told what had happened, the neighbor was shocked, and instantly thought that surely there was a missing part to the whole story.

He truly felt that his dog was innocent, but was happy to hear the little girl next door was ok during the circumstances.

Everyone was grateful that Remayah had a speedy recovery following that horrible incident.

This magnificent creature’s Raju after being freed after 50 years of agony

Have you ever heard about Raju’s story? For those who are unfamiliar with Raju, he is the elephant that was saved after being chained for nearly 50 years, and when he was released, he was shedding tears of joy. The terrible story of this rescue went viral, and there have been many developments since then, all of which have been for the better for Raju.

Raju is shown a year after his miraculous rescue in the video that went viral in 2014. Raju was saved from the streets of Allahabad in 2014 and spent the next year at the Elephant Conservation and Care Center in Mathura, where he learned how to live a calm and happy life.

The most significant message is that he has rediscovered his ability to love and trust humanity. Raju’s incredible transformation demonstrates that elephants are resilient and powerful creatures. It also demonstrates that elephants have the ability to overcome obstacles that no one should ever have to face.

When Raju was rescued and set free by a group of kind individuals, the joy on his face was palpable and unexplainable, and it was a heartwarming moment for everyone. “It was really emotional,”

Pooja Binepal of Wildlife SOS UK said in an interview with the press. During the rescue, the team was startled to find tears streaming down his cheeks. We had a feeling he sensed he was being let free. Elephants are not only beautiful, but they are also very intellectual animals that have been shown to experience sadness, so we can only image what he’s gone through over the past half-century.”

Raju’s happily ever after came thanks to a bunch of compassionate people, and he may now enjoy his final years in peace and contentment. Whatever the case may be, not all elephants are as fortunate as Raju. Hundreds of thousands of elephants are kept in captivity by profit-driven people.

Shelter Dog Loves His Food Bowl So Much He Refuses To Be Adopted Without It

Oliver is a stray pup found lost in a family’s backyard. It wasn’t clear if he wandered on his own or was left there by his previous owner so when someone called the Memphis Animal Services in Memphis, Tennessee, the officers came to pick him up. He was hard to catch at first, but once he arrived at the animal shelter, he was friendly, well-behaved and felt at home with everyone.
“I met him the first day he came in, and he sat for me immediately before I even showed him I had treats. Then, of course, as soon as the treats came out, he was even more eager to sit. The more he got to know me, the more he would press himself up against the bars of his kennels to let me pet him.” Katie Pemberton, community engagement specialist at Memphis Animal Services, told The Dodo.

The clever little guy would greet anyone who passes by and would look up with his puppy eyes and his food bowl in his mouth. This is how he got the name Oliver, like the fictional character Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens who was famous for the phrase “Please sir, I want some more.”
Oliver always brought his food bowl with him, everywhere he went, as if he was asking for more treats or food. The staff was so amused by Oliver’s tricks that they started taking photos of him and posted them on social media. Thanks to the internet, Oliver was adopted and found his forever family just before the deadline. If no one adopted him, Oliver would have been put down like all the other pups who unfortunately did not get adopted.

The photos posted on social media definitely helped Oliver to get adopted, given the unusual amount of inquiries the shelter received after publishing them.
Oliver’s new owners fell in love with him when they saw him on the shelter’s Facebook Page, and they immediately filed for his adoption, and managed to take Oliver home with them… with his food bowl, of course!

This clever little guy goes around with his food bowl in his mouth as if he was asking for more treats or more food. This is how he got the name Oliver.

The volunteers at the Memphis Animal Services in Memphis, Tennessee thought the name would be a great fitm since the fictional character OIiver Twist was known for saying “Please sir, I want some more.”

Oliver was found lost in a family’s backyard. He was brought in by the animal control officers and on his first day, Oliver was befriending everyone at the shelter. He loves to be petted, he likes treats and he adores his food bowl.

The volunteers posted photos of Oliver online and they quickly went viral. Adoption applications were filed for him just before his adoption deadline, otherwise, he’d have been put down.

Oliver was adopted at the last minute, bringing along his dog bowl with him to his forever home.

Newborn ape found “mummified” in cardboard box

Meet Gito. He’s a little orangutang who suffered a truly harrowing experience.

Fortunately, there were animal rescuers on hand to save his life. When the animal rights organisation International Animal Rescue found him in 2015, they weren’t sure whether he was alive or dead. According to The Dodo, his mother was shot by poachers, but little Gito survived. He was left alone in a tiny cardboard box under the unrelenting sun.

When the organisation found him, he had lost almost all the hair from his body. There were those who wondered if he had been mummified.

He had previously had an owner who bought him for $30. At that stage, he was only a few months old but looked far older.

“We thought he was dead, at first,” International Animal Rescue wrote on their website. “Gito’s arms were folded corpse-like across his tiny body and he looked almost mummified in his cardboard coffin. Gito had barely any hair on his body and his skin was grey and flaking from sarcoptic mange. The constant itching and pain must have been excruciating.”

Employees from the animal rights organisation, who found Gito in the cardboard box, drove the little orangutan fast as they could to the nearest veterinary clinic.

It was a miracle that he survived. It took the team nine hours to get him to the clinic, further proving what a strong fighter Gito is!
The vets soon realised that he needed a lot of help – this included treatment for the severe skin infection he’d picked up, and work to compensate for the general lack of care he’d received without his mother.

Now, though, he’s three-years-old, and, thanks to the incredible work of all the animal heroes involved, it’s impossible to recognise him from the ape that was left to die in a box.

What a fighter he is to have come out the other side!

Now his hair has regained its orange colour … even if it did take a while. And, thankfully, his skin is once again healthy.

It’s said that he loves fruit and other types of snacks. But, most important of all: He is now at a place where he can be loved. Before he can be released into the wild again, he needs to be prepared for that sort of life. That’s why he’s currently involved in the International Animal Rescue rehabilitation program. Gito spends his days, at the moment, hanging out in a wooded area with other orphaned orangutans who are on their way to adolescence. Hopefully, there he will learn how to live in the wild once more.

It’s important for orangutans in the wild to spend the first six to seven years of their lives with their mother. This not only helps them develop properly, but they also learn how to look for food and climb properly around the trees, amongst other things.
“Animals are suffering and dying because of the systematic destruction of the rainforest, primarily for palm oil production,” Lis Key, communications manager for Bito’s rescue center, told The Dodo.

She believes that within a few years, little Gito will be ready for the wild again. Until that time, he is safe to play with his peers under the careful watch of those who care for him.

There are few things that hit me in the feels as much as stories like this one. Defenseless animals, especially babies, are particularly vulnerable, so it’s vital that these organizations continue to work as they currently do. To all those helping animals out there, we salute you!

Dangerous Tongue! This Giant Anteater Easily Defeats Jaguar Thanks To Its Disgusting Wet Tongue

The jaguar crouched still, waiting until the giant marsupial finished drinking before daring to stand up.

Luke Massey, a photographer specializing in the world’s big cats, witnessed the clash between a giant anteater and a large male jaguar at the edge of a lake in the middle of a cattle ranch in the Pantanal , Brazil, in September 2017, according to National Geographic. According to Massey, this is one of the strangest encounters in the natural world that he has ever witnessed.

The giant anteater crawled out of the thicket to drink from the lake. Not long after that, the jaguar approached, strode silently toward the anteater and crouched for momentum. With its muscular neck and claws bigger than a boxing glove, the leopard seemed ready to pounce but something stopped it.

“When I saw the jaguar sloppily moving behind the completely off-guard and now vulnerable target, the giant anteater, I thought I was going to witness a murder or a dramatic battle. . I don’t think jaguars will lie down and watch,” Massey shared.

But Fernando Rodrigo Tortato, a field researcher with the pantanal project of the big cat conservation organization Panthera, is not surprised. “The giant anteater is sometimes included in the jaguar’s diet, but in the Pantanal it is not a frequent prey, accounting for less than 5% of the food source,” Tortato said.

Conservationist Charles Munn, chief executive of a wildlife tour company, offers another explanation for the clash. “The only reason jaguars don’t attack giant anteaters is their claws,” Munn said. This oddly shaped mammal possesses a secret weapon of sharp claws more than 10 cm long, which are often used to dig up ant nests, but can also inflict fatal wounds on attackers.

In September 2016, a motion-activated camera in Brazil’s Gurupi biological reserve captured a fight between a jaguar and a giant anteater. The jaguar lunges at potential prey, but the anteater simply stands upright, spreading its claws wide and swinging at the predator.

“I’m sure the scene is another part of this story. If a jaguar tries to attack a marsupial in the lake, the marsupial will use its sharp, powerful claws to defend itself, seriously injuring the jaguar or causing damage. even suffered fatal injuries,” Munn said.

Stray Kitty Chooses Her Human in a Park

Kawasaki Hina was going home through his local park, when a squeaking kitty ran up to him. The poor thing started following him, not letting him go. Before he knew it, Hina was carrying the tiny fluffball in a box back to his place.

“She fell asleep immediately back at my house,” Hina told Bored Panda. “She is like a family to me,” he added. “I think she also loves me. We’ll be together forever.” Now, the kitty, named Vell, is 2,5 years old. The two even do laundry together! It was love at first sight, for sure.
