Tom Hardy brought his rescue dog to a movie premiere to encourage animal adoption

Some people take their beloved dogs everywhere. However, it didn’t happen too often to see a puppy on the red carpet, but thankfully actor Tom Hardy just has given us that gift. The Hollywood star made a surprising appearance at the premiere of his movie ‘Legend,’ with his dog Woody by his side.

Woodstock or Woody – an adorable Labrador mix – is pretty familiar with public appearances. He also featured in a PETA campaign with his human dad!

Tom Hardy brings his beloved furry friend everywhere, encouraging pets adoption this way. Since they first met, Hardy and Woody are inseparable, and judging by the time they spend together it is pretty easy to understand how strong their bond is.

The famous actor has found Woody while filming ‘Lawless.’ He spotted the yellow lab wandering the streets of Atlanta, and decided to adopt him and take him to his home in London. However, Woody isn’t the only dog that Hardy adopted.

“Wherever I go, I get a dog, pretty much,” the actor told Vulture. “You’re not allowed to bring another dog back from a job.” But I’ll always find one. On every job we go on, I’ll either find someone’s dog and look after it, or I’ll take my own dog, or I find a dog and we home it.”

Tom Hardy has always been fond of dogs. In fact, he loved dogs so much, he even went to school with his first dog, Max!

“My old drama teacher said, ‘I remember when you used to walk into class with your dog in one hand and a can of Coke in the other,’” Tom Hardy said. “Max was my support unit, it’s like I had a focus; I had an identity and higher self-esteem because something relied on me and loved me constantly.”

Lovely video footage shows staffer Chrissy Ireland cuddling with Prissy – a four-year-old abandoned dog – to make her feel comfortable after surgery. The dog was awaking from anesthesia – and as usually happens – she was having a very tough time, but fortunately she wasn’t alone. Chrissy goes inside her kennel, lays down next to her and starts to comfort her. Only she didn’t know co-worker Debra Cameron was watching the emotional scene!

The moment unfolded at the Conway Area Humane Society in New Hampshire. Prissy was taken here, after she and her three tiny puppies were abandoned in a junkyard in Tennessee. Fortunately, a Good Samaritan found them just in time and brought them to the shelter.

Recalling the emotional scene, Chrissy said she “didn’t want Prissy to wake up alone.”

“I saw her and she was all shaky and she didn’t feel good,” the woman told ABC NEWS. “It made me feel so sad for her. So I just found myself laying on the floor with her and kissing her and loving her….Coming out of anesthesia and you’re behind walls and you’re behind a gate; it’s just scary.”

The woman said she had no idea Debra was filming, let alone the moment to go so viral. But now, she hopes the moment will help Prissy to find a forever home.

“I think she’d be great in any home and in any situation,” the kind woman said. “I would love to see her go with kids so she can be outside playing in a yard and having a good time.”

Golden retriever acts as a mother to rescued baby goats

Very few animals are as adorable as baby goats. The golden retrievers are considered to be one of the most affectionate of all the dogs.

What will happen if these two species get along and form a family? Yes, they will be the cutest gang one can see. One who raises such a cute gang will be the luckiest person.

So here the lucky person is Andrea Holley. She is the proud owner of an intelligent and patient golden retriever named Loryn. When she adopted a few rescued baby goats, the golden retriever immediately fell in love with them as they are her own.

Andrea Holley has a farm and Loryn has grown up there and she deserved to be called a good girl as she always took care of the farm animals. The dog showed her motherly love to all the baby animals on the farm. The dog is very lovely and wants to spread love.

Andrea considers Loryn as her right hand as she is very responsible and takes great care of the babies and considers them as her own babies.

The same happened when Andrea brought some baby goats to her farm. Loryn took the duty of babysitting the animals. She became so fond of the babies that she could not stop cuddling with them.

She behaved like a hands-on mother who never let those babies out of her sight. As the goat babies were very young and needed to be bottle-fed, Loryn very patiently waited for them to finish their meals.

Their family is inseparable and the dog acted as a dedicated mother of the baby goats. Even the babies love their adoptive mom a lot. Most of the time, they play, cuddle and nap with each other.

Really anybody can fall in love with this beautiful family.

Devoted caretakers have sleepless nights to look after orphaned baby elephants

Like many other wildlife species, elephants are also under threat of extinction. Their number is dwindling every year due to habitat loss or poaching. But still, there are some people who are doing every bit to make sure that they are safe.

Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya is one such project which is looking after the interests of the elephants and it is giving us hope that it is not over yet. The devoted people here are looking after these magnificent creatures for nearly a century.

So far they have treated over 8,000 elephants and raised over 250 orphaned elephants. The caretakers there take a lot of pains to look after animals. They work with devotion and affection and they even sleep with the baby elephants in order to make them comfortable.

The life of baby elephants is very hard as their mothers are gone due to ivory poaching. So these babies are like human babies who want someone to keep them warm, to feed them, or to cuddle with them.

The caretakers look after the babies as they are their own babies and most of them are fathers and they know how to deal with a baby’s crying.

One keeper told how much these babies resemble human babies. Like human babies, they call out in the night and are very restless. Sometimes they cry for the milk and they really need a mother with them and these caretakers are actually trying to be their mothers.

When the babies are very young, they need to be fed every three hours even at night and the caretakers are not bothered about it.

According to a keeper, they are actually mothers to them and look after them even at the night. They even cover the babies in blankets at night as sound sleep allows them to grow healthy.

These caretakers are going above and beyond to look after the babies and it is really a very good thing.

The Man Who Rescued a Dying Crocodile and Formed an Unbreakable Friendship Spanning Two Decades”

Nothing can come close to owning a five-meter, 500-kilogram crocodile, it can be referred to as the most dangerous pet one ever had. It is quite impossible to believe this, but this Costa Rica man, Gilberto Shedden had a gigantic and scary-looking crocodile called Pocho and he had been swimming with it in the river every day- for over 20 years.

Shedden who is a fisherman, tour guide, and naturalist from Siquirres, Limon Province, Costa Rica, found Pocho at the time when it was dying on the banks of the local Reventazon River. The crocodile was shot in the head through the left eye, maybe by a farmer who was angry at the animal preying on his herd of cows.

Shedden did not want to leave the crocodile there and took him home in his boat. He decided to bring the crocodile back to health.

Shedden worked really hard on the crocodile, feeding him with 30kg of fish and chicken a week. He even slept with him at night. In order to encourage the crocodile to eat, he simulated the chewing of food with his mouth, giving it kisses and hugs. According to Shedden, the crocodile needed his love more than the food to regain his health.

The crocodile was named Pocho by Shedden. A crocodile is a wild animal, in order to raise Pocho legally, Sheddan needed a wildlife permit from Costa Rican authorities. Until that time, he hid the crocodile in a hidden pond in a nearby forest.

When Pocho was healthy again, he was released in a nearby river but when Sheddan woke up the next morning, he found the crocodile sleeping in his veranda.

At that time, Sheddan decided to keep the crocodile in the water outside his home and he was considered a member of his family. They spent 20 years together, talking and playing with each other. The crocodile was even trained to respond to its own name.

They even started performing a weekly act for tourists from around the world in an artificial lake at Finca Las Tilapias, Costa Rica. The pair were also captured for the documentary titled ‘The Man Who Swims With Crocodiles’ by South African filmmaker Roger Horrocks shortly before Pocho’s death.

According to him, the gunshot wound to the poncho’s head might have damaged the crocodile’s brain which might have changed the usual behavior of the animal because many owners of reptilian pets had been attacked by their pets.

So according to him, Sheddan’s life was in danger when he was with Pocho. But Sheddan totally disagrees with it, he said if it were only 2 or 3 years, something might have happened but after 23 years of loving each other, it was not possible.

Pocho died a natural death outside Shedden’s home and a public funeral was also held for the crocodile. Now Sheddan is working with a new crocodile who is named Pocho II.

Though he is trying hard to build the same relationship as he shared with the original Pocho yet long-term success with this crocodile seems quite uncertain. Pocho was a gift for Sheddan and they enjoyed a great relationship.

Deputies brave fire to free chained up dogs during a house fire

Many people inspire us by doing exceptionally well. These heroes go out of their way to save an animal’s life. At times they are even ready to put their lives in danger.

Here our heroes are two deputies, who braved the heat of a blazing fire to save the lives of two chained-up dogs.

As the deputies from the Candler County Sheriff’s Office, in Georgia got a call about an explosion that caused three fires, including a car and an RV, they rushed there to help.

When they reached the scene, Capt. Jamey O’Brien saw some movement behind the RV and saw the two chained-up dogs in need of saving.

It was soon clear that the dogs needed to be saved immediately, so the deputies hurried to free the dogs. They did not care about the scorching heat of the burning fire. According to deputy Elliot Coursey, if they did not go, those two dogs would have been cooked alive.

This footage was recorded and the video shows the officers racing to free the pets. One of the officers removed the dog’s collar to free it from a chain while the other opened a metal crate to free another dog.

The dogs were rescued on time. The dogs ran away and were happy to be away from the severe heat and smoke.

This was a unique experience for them as they had never experienced anything like that earlier. They said that they dealt with fire every day. They dealt with dogs every day. But this time they were dealing with both.

The rescued dogs were taken to foster care and both the dogs recovered after receiving medical treatment. The dramatic rescue video went viral and was seen by over 3.5 million views.

Thank you officers for saving the dog’s life.watch video

Stray dog found with all four legs severed gets happiness after receiving Prosthetic Titanium Paws

Sometimes animals are meted out with such cruelty that we can’t even imagine. At such times some angels come to save them.

Here is an incident where a dog which was found in the forest with all four paws severed at finds happiness. The dog is named Monika and she was hopelessly lying in the forest with all her four paws disbanded. Her only hope was to find someone who could look after her well.

NOVOSIBIRSK, RUSSIA NOVEMBER 19, 2021: Veterinarian Sergei Gorshkov pets an amputee dog named Monika after a surgery to install four prosthetic paws at the Best vet clinic. The angels who came to save the dog are Marina Gapich and Alla Leonkina. They are known for helping the creatures in need in large Russian cities. When they got a call about an injured dog in a remote village, they jumped into action immediately.

The dog was seen by a woman working in the area and she immediately informed Marina and Alla as they are known for helping the creatures in need.

They went there and picked the injured dog and brought her to the veterinary clinic. As the dog arrived, it was clear that she looked very hopeless.

The dog’s legs were disassociated and she even looked very emaciated. It was clear that the dog lived on the food scraps she found on the road. Nobody knew how that what happened to the dog but it was clear that it might be an act of atrocity.

Monika’s condition demanded great care as she suffered a lot. Everyone involved there gave her everything they were able to. As Monika survived the first crucial week, Marina and Allah started searching for options for paw prosthetics.

They reached out to Dr. Sergery Gorshkov for Monika’s legs’ operation. He went through the x-rays and suggested implanting titanium prostheses instead of removable prosthetics. But that was very expensive and Monika’s savior decided to raise money to save her life.

After nine months, they were able to collect the sum required and Monika was given four prosthetic branches that help her move with ease.

Now the dog is healing well and soon she will be shifted to London where she will be in the care of the devoted caregiver.

Rescued Pitbull had her own Maternity photoshoot and she looked like a Diva

Rescued animals are very sweet. The only thing they are lacking is opportunity. They are not given proper chances to showcase what they really are.

The same thing happened with this mother Pitbull. No one could have imagined that she is such a photogenic personality. It is in her maternal photos that she appeared like a real Diva.

The story goes like this. Mama Pickles was found abandoned on the streets by rescuers. At that, the dog was 2 years old and heavily pregnant. The staff at Animal Control took the dog to the shelter and managed to contact her owners. But owners told that they don’t need Pickles which was very heartbreaking.

The shelter was not having the required treatment and the care that pitbull might be given after the delivery. So the Pits & Giggles Rescue which is a nonprofit organization came forward to help the dog. The organization specializes in caring for pregnant dogs and their puppies.

Lauren Casteen Sykes who is a volunteer at Pits & Giggles explains that the mission of their organization is to rescue mothers and care for them. They save mothers who are pregnant or nursing and provide them the safety they need and the care they deserve to raise their puppies.

Photographing is an integral part of their adoption process as it gives them the visibility that they need to get adopted. So Lauren who is a photographer was called to click the photos of a proud would-be mother as they wanted to preserve those precious moments.

When Pickles arrived, Lauren knew that she had to do the maternity photoshoot and the way Mama Pickles posed, she stole the show. She was quite like a model according to Lauren. Though her legs were very short for the catwalk yet she loved all the attention and care she got. Pickles was very much excited about the photoshoot.

The satisfying part of the photoshoot was the way Pickles behaved, she was wagging her tail and was so much happy.

After Mama Pickles gave birth to 8 puppies, again it was time for the photoshoot. This time Mama Pickles looked prouder. According to her caretakers, she was really a very good mother and took good care of her little ones.

Mama Pickles was used to breed repeatedly and they said that this would be her last litter. For the time being, she and her puppies would be living in the rescue center.

We really wish that Mama Pickles and her babies should get a good forever home.

Spending a lifetime in chains, Dog can’t hold back his tears when rescued

Dogs are very adorable and lovable. Their loyalty to their owner is something that makes them unique. Still, they suffer in return. They are not treated the way they should be treated.

Mistreatment of dogs at the hands of their owners has been increasing day by day. So it becomes very difficult for rescue organizations to save each and every dog. But still, they don’t give up and offer help to as many dogs as they can.

Fortunately for this pup help came and the adorable Fox Terrier got a second chance at life. Victor Larkhill is the founder of Let’s Adopt International which helps animals in need of help. When he received a call telling him about a dog in desperate need of help, he immediately drove there.

When he along with his volunteers reached the city of Cartel in Spain, they could not believe what they have seen.

As they went inside, they saw a pup sitting next to a wall and the pup was in chains. The fur of the pup was matted all over which showed the dog was completely neglected. Not only this, but the poor pup also has a big tumor which made it impossible for her to sit.

But despite the mistreatment she got, she was very friendly with Victor and his team. There was kindness in her eyes and she started licking her savior’s hand.

The puppy was kept in chains and she was not even given any name. So they removed her chains and gave her a name. They called her Maria. The dog was overwhelmed by realizing that she is finally free. The dog could not hold back her tears and started to cry.

After that Maria was taken to a veterinarian clinic and her tumor was removed. Now she is recovering. Thank you Let’s Adopt International for saving a dog’s life.watch video

Monkeys sharpens rock to smash the glass enclosure at zoo

Zoos are not happy places for the animals. Their lives are not as comfortable as when they are in the open. Given a chance, all the animals will escape from the zoo. Some animals are very smart and they may devise new methods by which they could escape the zoo.

A video clip taken at a zoo in China shows a monkey that he uses a rock to break a glass enclosure as he tries to escape from the captivation. This particular incident took place in Zhengzhou Zoo in Central China’s Henan Province.

The video shows a Colombian white-faced capuchin who is seen examining the glass with a rock in its hands. Then he starts hitting the glass with the rock making it shatter into pieces.

One person who was standing nearby told the reporters that the monkey was actually sharpening his stone before he started to smash the glass to escape. After the glass broke away, the monkey was frightened and ran away. But it returned to take another look and even touched it.

Zhengzhou zoo staff member Tian Shuliao said that that particular monkey knew how to use tools. That monkey was not like other monkeys. It knew how to break walnuts using tools while other monkeys only bite at the walnuts. But it had never tried to hit the glass. That was the first time.

After that incident, they picked away all the rocks, and thus they took away all its weapons. Taking away all the rocks did not solve the problem of the monkey.

Maybe he was so stressed out in the zoo that he wanted to run away from it. It is not the problem of only one monkey, it is the problem of all the animals in general. The animals belong to the wild and they should be sent in the wild.

Firemen Save Unconcious Cat’s Life Using A Special Pet Oxygen Mask

An orange tabby cat’s life was saved thanks to an oxygen mask made especially for pets.

The lifeless cat was discovered by the New Orleans Fire Department nearby a residential building fire that started about noon on Wednesday.

To resuscitate the unfortunate fella, they used an oxygen mask made specifically for animals, you can see this in the video below:

Fifteen inhabitants were evacuated from the building by local authorities, and no one was hurt in the fire.
Two kittens that were stuck in one of the flats, however, suffered from smoke inhalation.

In order to try to revive the suffocating kittens with oxygen, firefighters moved them to street level.

One rescue responder can be seen in the video covering the white kitten’s face with an oxygen mask while petting its head.

The masks are available in a variety of sizes and may also be worn by other animals.
A ginger and white cat that is immobile is also given oxygen while dozing off on a purple sheet.

In an effort to revive it, several firefighters stroked its belly and neck and pumped oxygen into its mouth.

The kitty is heard being questioned by one fireman, “How is it? Feeling better? “

Another firefighter can be seen giving the cat a drink by putting bottled water into his hand.

“I guess he has eight more lives,” said Doug Cardinale of the New Orleans Fire Department,

The two cats are shown in a cat carrier next to one another near the conclusion of the video.

Whether the kittens and their owner have already been reunited is unknown at this time.

According to reports, the flat where the fire originated was totally destroyed and deemed unsuitable for habitation.

Hero Vets Save Mother Elephant’s Life By Jumping On Her Chest To Restart Her Heartbeat (15 Pics)

This is the touching moment when a mother elephant was saved by veterinarians performing CPR on her as her young daughter watched.

The 10-year-old bull and her one-month-old calf had fallen into a concrete drain in central Thailand when it was pouring rain.

The pair fell into the 7-foot-deep hole as a result of the storm’s muddy, damp grass.

Veterinarians used a cherry picker to rescue the animals after torrential monsoon rain nearly made it nearly impossible to reach them.

However, the mother’s life was suddenly in danger after she smacked her head and fell unconscious.

The epic three-hour rescue attempt to get the elephants to safety and then save the mother is captured on incredible video.

“It was impossible to get near the baby while the mother was nearby, so we gave her three doses of tranquilizers, but she moved towards her baby before passing out and hit her head,” said lead national park veterinarian Dr. Chananya Kanchanasarak.

The mother had also “regained consciousness after being stimulated by both me and the baby”.

The park officials phoned the veterinarians out of concern that the mother might scream for assistance from the surrounding 30-elephant herd if they attempted to extract the infant.

In order to stop the protective and potentially aggressive herd from approaching, a team member constructed a temporary barrier.

The young elephant, who had been trapped the previous night, suckled milk as its mother slept off in the hole, providing some respite to the veterinarians.

The vets continued their work after using a crane to remove the animals from the filthy ditch.

Three veterans leaped on the mother as soon as she landed safely to resuscitate and awaken her since the impact of hitting her head may have been harmful.

Fortunately, the elephant’s mother woke up.

Park guards and veterinarians departed the area to provide room for the jumbos to rejoin and join the vast herd.
As the woman and her child retreated back into the jungle, happy rangers and tearful veterans could be seen.

“Despite the obstacles, the mother did not leave her baby’s side.”
“This experience touched our hearts and will be one of the most memorable rescues we’ve done.”

The vet said that both “mother and baby are safe” and she thanked people for the “hard work of all parties involved in the rescue.”

Baby Elephant Is Reunited With Her Mother After 3 Years – Captured In Touching Video

A touching video that shows an Asian elephant’s emotional reunion with her mother after years away, helping prove the old saying that an elephant never forgets.
Meet Me-Bai, the little elephant who can be seen nuzzling her mother, Mae Yui, in the Elephant Nature Park refuge in the north of Thailand.

The two joyfully flap their ears and caress each other with their trunks after a 62-mile trek through the Thai jungle.
When Me-Bai was just three and a half years old, she was sold to provide rides for tourists in Thailand. She didn’t get to see her mother, who also worked in the trade, for three years.

It’s especially tragic since females prefer to stay in herds until they die, forming really deep ties. They are rarely separated before the calf reaches the age of five years.

According to Elephant News’ YouTube channel, the tiny elephant left the tourism industry ‘because she [Me-Bai] was too young [and] began to lose weight and could not carry the tourists any longer,’

Me-Bai was recently rescued and transported to the refuge following a four-day, 62-mile (100-kilometer) walk in the scorching sun.

‘Me-Bai was nervous and wary of people when she first arrived at the sanctuary, but she quickly learned that her new caretakers had no intention of abusing her in any way,’ the sanctuary writes.

According to National Geographic, she was initially apprehensive of people but quickly adapted to her new surroundings.

When workers discovered Me-Bai’s mother worked in the adjacent tourism business, the proprietors agreed to retire Mae Yui so she could join her children at the refuge.

The emotional reunion between the two was captured on video for us all to enjoy.

It shows the elephants caressing one another with their trunks and flapping their ears in pleasure.
After an emotional half-hour together, the keepers suspected they may be afraid of being separated again.

When elephants are disturbed, they chirp gently and stroke each other’s heads and genitals, according to previous research done at the park by Mahidol University in Thailand and Emory University in the United States.

In the video, you can witness these actions.

Because elephant trunks are so sensitive, psychologist and elephant behavior specialist Preston Foerder of the University of Tennessee believes elephants communicate through touch as well as voice and sight.

Later in the footage, the two can be seen walking and eating together peacefully.

Meet The Adorabilis, The Cutest Octopus In The World

Meet the ‘Adorabilis’, the proposed name for an unclassified octopus with the cutest puppy dog eyes.

Stephanie Bush, a marine biology researcher at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute wanted to name the creature something to encapsulate its cuteness.

The tiny creature has even tinier ‘wing-like’ fins on its head and big puppy dog eyes making it look like a cute cartoon.

Currently the full scientific name in cosideration is ‘Opisthotheusis Adorabilis’ although now it is just known as the ‘flapjack octopus’.

“I thought that since this animal is so adorable, I should name it adorabilis,” laughed Bush.

“I’m supposed to be this really serious stoic scientist, but I’m still human. It’s just so cute.”
The little octopus is about the size of a human fist, and although the species was first identified in the early 1990s, Bush is the first to try and describe it.

“Giving it a name is one of the easiest parts. We have to collect multiple specimens. There’s a lot of counting and measuring essentially.”
“You have to differentiate one species from others.”

For the eagle eyed out there, the flapjack octopus featured in the hit film “Finding Nemo” as “Pearl.”
Its pinkish color is somewhat typical among creatures in the deep sea. Despite this color, they still appear black in the deep waters as red light doesn’t reach them down there.

Their body resembles gelatine and measures around 7 inches overall in diameter.

They also flap their webbed arms to swim around the water, although they do spend most of their time sitting on the deep sea floor.
