Pixel’s mother first noticed that he was more expressive than most cats when he was about a year old. His gorgeous smile was contagious, and he constantly seemed to have a smile on his face. He also seemed to enjoy being shot, which, when combined with his smile, was the nicest combo ever.

Pixel’s mother, Alyson Kalhagen, told The Dodo, “Whenever I attempted to snap shots of him, he would smile and do other crazy faces.” “At first, I didn’t want to show off his more elegant, ‘fancy’ side, so I didn’t go for the hilarious faces at all, but I figured I may as well start sharing his crazy images as well, and that’s how we ended up where we are today.”

Everyone fell in love with Pixel as soon as Kalhagen began posting images of his lovely smile, and understandably so. Pixel is now famous for his goofy smile all over the internet, which means he gets to perform more photoshoots, which he adores.

While most people think Pixel is wonderful, everyone has a different reaction to him and his grin, and his mother enjoys watching the joy, and occasionally perplexity, he gives to people all around the globe.

“People react to Pixel in a number of ways, but the most prevalent ones are things like, ‘He’s so ugly he’s cute!’ or ‘He has the appearance of a bat!’ “The replies have been mostly good, however some individuals find his expressions unnerving or frightening,” Kalhagen added. “A few people have speculated that he is malevolent or possessed, but he is only a highly expressive kitten looking for a taste of chicken!”

Pixel, of course, is completely unaware of the situation. He has no idea that others adore his smile or say he resembles a cute little bat. All he knows is that he enjoys posing for photos, receiving gifts, and flashing his grin at the people he cares about, and that’s all he need.
