Sylvester Stallone Kept The Two Turtles From ‘Rocky’ And Now They’re 44 Years Old

Recently, actor Sylvester Stallone shared on his Instagram account a photo of himself with the two turtles, Cuff and Link.

In his Instagram post, he revealed that they’ve been with him since he starred in the 1976 ‘Rocky’. In case you need your memory refreshed, here’s the clip of the turtles from the original Rocky:

But get this, not only are they alive and well, they also starred in Stallone’s 2018 film Creed II.

“In CREED 2 with my original buddies from the first Rocky … CUFF and LINK, now about 44 years old!” Stallone wrote in the caption.
In the film Rocky, he introduced them as “the exotic animals I was telling you about. These are my friends, Cuff and Link”.

Sylvester had also kept Butkus, the Bullmastiff from Rocky and Rocky II. But before the first movie was released, the actor was facing financial troubles, and so was forced to sell the pooch to a stranger outside of a 7-eleven store. Half a year later, he bought Butkus back and had his beloved dog until 1981. “Then like a modern-day miracle, the screenplay for Rocky sold, and I could buy him back, but the new owner knew I was desperate and charged me $15,000,” Stallone continued. “He was worth every penny!”
