A New Jersey city employee, 23, who was run over in a road rage attack while attempting to record a car’s license plate after a crash, is slowly recovering from severe injuries including a broken spine.

Morgan Scott was also left with a broken leg and ribs, and severed liver after Vincent Jean allegedly mowed her down three times in Elizabeth, New Jersey on Tuesday.

Jean, 56, was arrested after his Mitsubishi SUV was caught on camera ramming into Scott several times. He is charged with first-degree attempted murder and third-degree assault by auto.

Scott’s family has since set up a GoFundMe for her medical costs after they say her insurance company refuse to cover them because they were ‘intentionally inflicted’.

Her father, Ian, wrote on Instagram on Saturday: ‘Recently my daughter endured a horrible attack on her life but God was merciful and spared my daughter from death.’

‘Thank you for your love and support she is recovering God is good! God is Good!!!!!’

He also warned that scammers had set up several fake GoFundMe accounts in his daughter’s name.

On the official GoFundMe page, the family write: ‘Morgan miraculously survived her terrible ordeal; however, she has three fractured bones in her neck.

‘A broken femur, a lacerated liver, broken ribs, severe back injuries, deep gashes over 60 percent of her body, and severe injuries road rashes.

‘Then to add insult to injury, the insurance company informed her father that they couldn’t pay her medical expenses because her injuries weren’t from an accident, “THEY WERE INTENTIALLY INFLICTED.”

‘I saw the lady was lying on the grass across the street. I looked at this woman and it was just awful.

‘We took a blanket as the grass was really still wet and I asked my wife – who was a nurse – if she was alive.

‘She said the woman said ”thank you” to her when she passed it over. Every time I look at the video it makes me feel sick.

‘By the last time she got run over she looked completely out of it on the ground. She should never have survived that.’

It comes after DailyMail.com revealed Jean, from Irvington, had shared a number of videos from Grand Theft Auto on his social media.
