Photographer Captures Sweet Shy-At-First Baby Meerkat And Meets Its Family

Mamekoro51 is a Japanese photographer who has the absolute best subjects to capture, baby animals

One day, while visiting the Inokashira Natural Cultural Park in Tokyo, he came across the sweetest family of meerkats, and one little guy was especially shy of the camera.

He was found cautiously peering from behind a wall, and although it seemed scared at first, it came to say hello after a little while

Native to the African countries of Botswana, Angola, Namibia, and South Africa, these interesting-looking creatures are adorable!

The cautious little guy then led the photographer to its home where he met the family.

It was unclear how many meerkats were at home but meerkats are known to have a ‘mob’ or ‘gang’ of 20-50 members.

Every female meerkat, whether with or without children is able to lactate to feed the young alpha pair’s young ones.

When babysitting, they protect the young by taking them underground if threatened and are often prepared to fight at the risk of their lives.
