Yes, These Magical Curly-Haired Horses Actually Exist

When asked to describe a horse, most people would mention the animal’s smooth, silky coat and long, flowing mane.

They’re probably not going to tell that when the weather turns chilly, the horse’s entire body — even the insides of his ears — may develop bouncy curls.

Until they meet a North American curly horse, that is.

This old horse is born with a coat that looks like the luscious hair of a Labradoodle. These horses’ coats may vary dramatically, much like the pup’s, and they’re also hypoallergenic.

“The coat is curly just in the winter,” Betsy Lirakis, who runs a therapeutic riding program in which only curly horses are used, told The Dodo, “shedding out gorgeous and sleek for summer.” Some of the breed’s members have long, smooth curls, while others have tight, woolly curls.”

“Some have silky Marcel Wave coats, while others are born with plain smooth coats that seem like any other breed of horse,” Lirakis explained. “However, the’smooth’ coated curlies remain allergy-free.”

It’s still a mystery how these horses gained their distinctive appearance.

Horses with curls have been featured in Chinese art since 161 A.D. In the 1800s, a photograph of a curly-coated Bashkir horse from Russia circulated, and proof of these unique animals has been discovered in Europe as well. However, it is unknown if these horses were the forerunners of the American curly horse.

There is evidence that these horses roamed free in the Northern Plains more than 200 years ago, and that the Crow and Sioux people revered them.

But these horses aren’t only good-looking; they also have winning personalities.

These clever horses, according to Lirakis, are rapid learners and can work effectively with humans of different levels of expertise.

“In general, the North American curly horse is easy to care for and maintain. Lirakis described it as “tough, powerful, and athletic.” “The curly is a sensitive and calm creature.”

This Dog Has Been Waiting YEARS For Someone To Love Her

Auburn was pulled from a big shelter in West Virginia sometime in 2008. No one is sure how she ended up at the shelter, or how long she’d been without a home before she got there. She was rescued from the shelter by Better Days Animal League, and has been waiting for a home ever since. It’s been nine whole years.

Auburn is 12 years old now, and it’s entirely possible that she’s gone her entire life without knowing what it’s like to have a home or a family. She absolutely adores people and loves attention of any kind, and so it’s hard to imagine how this sweet dog has been overlooked again and again.

“She was considered highly dog aggressive when she first came to the rescue, and I do not think she was promoted highly for the first couple of years due to these behavioral issues,” Abbi Crowe, a volunteer and board member with Better Days Animal League, told The Dodo. “All management has changed since that time and we have been trying to actively promote her for the last several years. We still think she would do best as an only pet and that’s the main reason she seems to be overlooked.”

Simply because she doesn’t always get along with other dogs, Auburn has been homeless her whole life, even though she has so many amazing traits to offer a potential family.

Auburn is a dog who will do absolutely anything for a treat and loves snuggling and taking long naps. She enjoys going for rides in the car, and has an adorable little snort that has earned her the affectionate nickname of Miss Piggy. She’s been with the rescue for so long that the staff have had plenty of time to get to know and love her, and they’re all confident that she would make an incredible addition to any family who decides to give her a chance.

Over the past few years, Auburn has received a few bursts of interest from potential adopters, but unfortunately, none of them lived close enough to be able to come and meet her beforehand. The rescue is making a “meet and greet” a requirement because everyone wants to make sure that whoever adopts Auburn is a good match. Whoever adopts her, the rescue wants to make sure it sticks.

For a 12-year-old dog, Auburn is actually in fantastic health. She has a few lumps and bumps that come with age, that vets have said pose no concern, and is on weight management food and joint supplements for her minor joint issues. Otherwise, Auburn is healthy, active and ready to play with anyone who’s willing.

While ideally Auburn would be the only dog in her new home, the rescue is willing to consider families who have another dog, as long as Auburn can meet and spend time with the dog several times before the adoption is made final.

Auburn is an incredible dog who has simply never been given the chance to show what an amazing pet she can be. She may be older, but since she’s never had a home, she has 12 years worth of love to give, and she’s so willing to give it to whoever is willing to give her a chance.

Only Rescue Dogs And Cats Are Now Allowed To Be Sold At California Pet Stores

California is kicking off the new year by making a significant advancement for animals.

Pet retailers in the state are no longer allowed to sell puppies, kittens, or rabbits originating from commercial breeders as of January 1. Instead, only rescue animals from local shelters will be permitted to be housed in shops.

The new legislation targets puppy mills and backyard breeders, who are known for prioritizing profit over animal care by confining animals in small, filthy cages.

Baby animals are frequently transported out ill for sale at pet stores, with little to no vet treatment, while their lonely adult parents spend their lives in filth being constantly bred for more “stock.”

California’s new legislation, which is the nation’s first and most stringent regulatory policy of its type, will almost certainly cost the negligent business money.

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) acting president and CEO Kitty Block told The Dodo, “This puts us one giant step closer to the day when puppy mills have nowhere left to sell.”

The rule is intended to not only curb the demand for mill-bred animals, but also to guarantee that individuals are well-prepared to care for a new pet before adopting one. Rabbits, for example, are frequently offered as “beginning pets” at pet stores despite the fact that they require just as much care as a cat or dog and can live for ten years or longer.

When A Dog Sees A Youngster Being Dragged Into The Sea, He Jumps In To Help Him

At the mouth of a river in Australia, a cute bulldog with a life jacket rescued a youngster who was on the verge of drowning. Max, the cute dog, swam to help the young one who had been washed far into the water and was perilously near to the cliffs.

At Port Noarlung in South Australia, the heroic dog was wearing a life jacket that the child was able to hold to when he returned to shore. Max’s father, Rob Osborn, spotted his son in peril and instantly tried to persuade him to summon Max and grasp the handle of the dog’s life vest, according to the Daily Mail.

Max’s mother, Jamie, told The Dodo:

“He was a bit antisocial when we captured him.” He would stand up and walk away if we patted him too much. Max is an entirely different dog these days. Is always cheerful! He is quite loving toward us and lavishes us with love and attention.

Max is now a family member who lives inside a house. He likes going surfing and sleeping in bed with his 11-year-old sibling.

Jamie also mentioned:

“We have kayaks, and he likes to swim alongside us when we paddle, so we bought him a life jacket to keep him from becoming too tired.” Because Rob enjoys surfing and snorkeling, Max is frequently spotted on the beach with surfers waiting for a wave.

The tide began to rise and looked to be dragging a boy towards the pile of enormous rocks, recounts Rob, Max’s proud father, as they were enjoying a quiet day at the beach in January of this year; it was a really worrying time.

According to Max’s father, who spoke to the Daily Mail,

He is undoubtedly a hero, but he is unaware of it. He was only following orders.

Max reenacted the event for the cameras of 7News. The dog is swimming and a toddler is holding to his life jacket as they come to land safely.

Max’s relative Nevaeh Osborn, who also observed the incident, stated that the youngster was on the edge of drowning if he did not act soon. Max was already swimming to help Rob before Rob could leap into the water and swim towards him.

On her Facebook page, the courageous puppy’s mother also commented about what happened, writing:

“One of Nev’s pals found it tough as well, so he returned for him and saved him as well.” “Tonight, the world’s happiest dog is also a hero!

Cyclist Stops Mid-Practice To Help A Dehydrated Dog, Ends Up Carrying It On His Back

Going out of your way to help an animal in need certainly makes you a good person in our book. Take this cyclist for example – this man interrupted his cycling practice in order to help a dog that was spotted struggling on the side of the road. A video that was captured in Argentina showed the cyclist carrying the dog on his back as the poor canine was found abandoned and badly dehydrated.

The incident took place in the southern province of Rio Negro and the footage was shared on the Facebook page of the sports training group, Marican Team. The local Argentine media reports that three cyclists from the town of Villa Regina were cycling together when they noticed a lone dog on the side of the road.

Apparently, when the dog was spotted, he seemed severely dehydrated and disorientated. The video that was later shared to Facebook was captioned in Spanish: “Rodri, Alan, and Emiliano from Villa Regina helped an abandoned dog that was dehydrated during their training.”

While it is known that the cyclists brought the dog back to town, it is unclear who is taking care of him now. People on social media were still praising the cyclists for their kind act: “Wonderful gesture!” Nohé Bustos commented. “May life return your generosity with love.” “This is such good news among all the sadness! Thank you for your empathy, thank you for not looking away, thank you for giving him another opportunity,” Marcela Balda writes.

The Angel Man Ho Assisted In The Rescue Of Cats And Dogs From A Burning Shelter

When a local animal shelter caught fire, an Atlanta homeless guy risked his life to save all 16 dogs and cats inside.

Keith Walker, 53, a homeless man, was on his way to W-Underdogs on December 18 to pick up his pitbull, Bravo, for a walk when he noticed the fire, according to shelter founder Gracie Hamlin.

Walker ran into the blazing facility to save the six dogs and ten cats trapped inside, as he boards his dog at the shelter at night.

Keith Walker, 53, a homeless man, is shown with one of the dogs he helped in rescuing when the W-Underdogs animal shelter in Atlanta caught fire on December 18th.

Walker, who has been homeless since the age of 13, was on his way to the shelter to get his own dog, which he leaves there at night.

The firemen had ‘called animal control, but Keith was already in the building bringing out the cats and dogs until everyone was secure,’ according to Hamlin.

Walker admitted that he was “nervous as hell” about his courage.

He told the news organization, ‘I’m not going to lie.’ ‘I was terrified to walk in there because there was so much smoke.’ God, on the other hand, placed me there to save those creatures.’

‘If you love a dog, you can love everyone in the world,’ he continued. ‘I knew I had to help all those other dogs because my dog is my best buddy and I wouldn’t be here without him.’

Walker was dubbed Hamlin’s “guardian angel” by Hamlin.

Walker can be seen with Bravo. W-Underdogs supplies the dog with food and medical care.

The W-Underdogs shelter, which is also the founder’s house, was rendered unusable as a result of the fire. The shelter and residence have been damaged as seen in the photo.

Fortunately, W-Underdogs was about to move to a new facility space in a week, so the animals had somewhere to go.

The fire department concluded that the incident, which originated in her kitchen, was an electrical fire, according to Hamlin.

More than a week after the fire, Hamlin told CNN that Walker’s rapid response to save the animals has left her’still in astonishment,’ since she’s been around fires and knows how quickly they flare up. He is a hero of mine.’

People have been quick to inquire how they can support Walker and start up fundraising initiatives on his behalf as word of his deeds has spread.

For him, a GoFundMe campaign has already generated more than $16,000.

No One Wanted This Sweet Shelter Dog Just Because Of His Crooked Face

Mosley has a unique appearance, which his rescuers believe makes him even more appealing.

Because there were so many other pets available at the rural Georgia shelter when the little pup initially came up last month, he was missed for several months. The shelter was full and bustling, and no one seemed to notice him.

That is, until Amanda Harris, the Atlanta Humane Society’s marketing programs manager, saw his portrait online and realized right away that the dog was unique. She went to the rural shelter to take him up shortly after.

“His crooked grin caught our hearts,” Harris said of Mosley, “and we knew it would help him rapidly capture the ideal forever home.”

He was certainly adorable, and social media users agreed. While no one knows for sure how Mosley’s smile grew crooked, Harris believes it was most likely inherited.

“We took some pictures and videos of him, and he rapidly became quite famous on social media, with dozens of families expressing interest in adopting him,” Harris said.

Lindsey Ramsey and her family were among those interested in adopting Mosley, and the shelter believed they’d be a good fit for him.

Mosley was adopted by the Ramseys last Friday, and he’s been overjoyed ever since.

“All he wants is to be patted on and loved, and he follows us around the house wherever we go,” Ramsey told The Dodo. “When we’re outside, we can always depend on an episode of the zoomies from him.”

He’s even warming up to the prospect of having a feline sibling.

“He’s learning how to coexist with a cat,” Ramsey explained. “Right now, he and our cat Barbara are simply yelling at each other, but I’m convinced they’ll become friends soon.”

While no one knows where Mosley came from, it’s evident that he’s decided where he’ll stay: in his new home, surrounded by his new family.

Meet Chico, A K9 Officer That Nailed His Official Portrait With His Uniform

This is Chico, a K9 officer. One day he had to take a picture because it was picture-taking time.

As Chico is a K9 officer with Florida’s Orange County sheriff’s office, had to be present for his shoot.

He looked so cute because he even wore a tie for that picture and he rocked it.

“He even wore a tie for the photo,” the sheriff’s office wrote.

Chico has been part of OCSO for already 4.5 years. He is a patrol dog and he lives with his family.

“Chico is a German shepherd. He’s 5 and a half. He’s been with the OCSO for about 4.5 years. He is a patrol dog and also a drug K9. He lives with his handler and his family,” a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office told The Dodo, adding: “He loves tug-o-war and Kongs.”

He is so adorable, right?

Home Depot Hires A Shy Former Shelter Dog As An Employee, And She’s The Hardest-Working Employee In The Company’s History

When we are given a tiny amount of love, even we humans can change. Adopting an animal may improve the lives of two people. The animal’s and your own life are included in these two lives. The pet will now have a space to call his or her own.

They’ll be safe and sound, with someone they can call family at their side. Their human will have someone who will adore them unconditionally for the rest of their lives. As a result, it’s a win-win scenario. What more could you possibly want? Adoption, on the other hand, is not a simple procedure.

Jackie Rakers of the Kentucky River Regional Animal Shelter adopted Heaven. Heaven and Jackie had taken a big stride forward. Heaven, on the other hand, was a timid dog that was terrified of virtually everything. So Jackie had to come up with a solution to restore Heaven’s self-assurance.

They began going to Home Depot at that time.

In an interview with The Dodo, Rakers said, “The Home Depot runs started as a method to help her with her concerns.” “She was afraid of strange places and sounds, so we’d go for five minutes and she’d receive all the treats,” she explained.

As a result, their excursions to Home Depot became in length, and Heaven was introduced to new experiences.

The Home Depot is a dog-friendly establishment.

As a result, Heaven felt extremely at ease there. Heaven began interacting with the employees and visitors more frequently. She soon got her own apron after a few trips!

Every time Jackie takes out the apron, she knows she’s heading to Home Depot.

Rakers explained, “I keep it in the car so we’re always ready.” “As soon as she realizes we’ve arrived in the parking lot, she quivers and waits for me to put [the apron] on her before sprinting off to ‘work.’” She struts about the area as if she owns it.”

Now there’s a fantastic new employee at Home Depot!

Heaven is well-known throughout the business. She is addressed by her first name by all members of the staff, and she is even permitted to use the employee break room. It has turned into a second home for her.

She had a good time with the customers as well.

Rakers remarked, “She goes around doing her own business and then insists on meeting someone.” “All she does is sit and look.” They’ll constantly express how much they needed that pick-me-up.”

You’d think Heaven can sense when someone is having a terrible day so she can walk over and cheer them up. And Home Depot is the best place for her to find folks to adore.

With these small adventure visits to Home Depot, Heaven has regained her confidence.
“She was terrified of everything at first, but with a lot of training and patience, she learnt to trust, and now it’s almost as if she pays it forward,” Rakers said. “She looks for people who need her and offers them a hug and a smile.”

Jackie is always doing something with her house, so they go to Home Depot frequently, which is also a comfort for Heaven.

Take a look at how pleased she currently is!

It simply takes a little love and the proper kind of parenting to bring out the best in your pet. Heaven is the ideal illustration of this.

In The Rain, A Security Officer Was Applauded For Shielding A Dog With An Umbrella

In Giffnock, Scotland (UK), a security guard at a grocery chain was honored for a heroic gesture. Ethan Dearman was caught carrying an umbrella over a dog outside of shops to shield him from the rain while working outside the businesses.

Mel Gracie, a tattoo artist from Glasgow who was there at the time, decided to capture the man’s actions and shared the image to her Twitter account with the caption:

“ Applause for this @Morrisons security guard who is keeping this lovely youngster dry. You never know how dogs feel when it’s raining.’

A dog is shielded from the rain by a security officer.

The post received a lot of attention, as it rapidly accumulated over 19,000 retweets and 146,000 likes. Users on the social media platform complimented the guardian’s actions with Freddy, a golden retriever, and said he deserved commendation for his kind attitude to the pet.

According to a representative for Morrisons grocery company, LADbible:

“We have provided 9,000 Morrisons umbrellas to keep our customers and their pets dry this week since it is likely to be a wet week.” It’s encouraging to see that this is already taking place in our Giffnock shop.”

When Ethan viewed his photo and saw how popular his gesture had become, he posted it on Twitter and included a comment:

I didn’t expect to become popular on Twitter that quickly. “I knew I was making people laugh, but this is a whole other level, lol.”

When Freddy’s father, David Cherry, saw the photograph outside the store on his Twitter account, he learned about what had transpired and expressed his gratitude to Ethan.

We all hope Ethan’s action serves as an example to follow, Mel said in response to his post of the sweet incident, “We all hope Ethan’s behavior serves as an example to follow.”

“He constantly engages in conversation with clients in line, which is great, especially given how lonely some people may be. I posted this in the hopes that Morrisons would notice a staff member’s nice deed, but I had no clue it would travel so far!

The One-Eyed Dog Who Was Abused Is Now Living A Happy Life

Many cases of abuse are all around us, and the most vulnerable are often the ones who suffer, as was the case with Bubbles, a bull terrier puppy who was brutally tortured. A soulless guy shot this small child, causing her to lose an eye and a portion of her jaw, as well as beating her with a hammer.

Bubbles was taken in by a dog shelter in Houston, Texas, when she was just 6 months old.

This caused him to lose his right eye and also killed his jaw and inner ear.

One-eyed dog because of abuse is now happy.

In September 2017, Kilyn Horton Blanchard and her husband, Ike Blanchard, proprietors of a mobile dog grooming firm, helped at the shelter and met Bubbles, who was severely damaged when he arrived.

Kilyn told Metro :

“His right jaw joint was fractured, and the broken bones had healed into a calcified mass. Bubbles’ mouth could only open a half-inch. It is unexpected.

Kilyn Horton and her husband ultimately adopted Bubbles. She stated that she knew she should take the small puppy home as soon as she saw her.

Kilyn commented,

” She was resting in her kennel when we opened it, but the immediately we did, she sprang out and put her head in my breast, begging to be loved.”

Bubbles, according to Kilyn, never lets his infirmities stop him from loving his life, and attempts to persuade people to adopt special-needs dogs.

She said,

“There is a lot of cruelty in the world, but we want people to understand that just because they see an injured or abused shelter dog doesn’t mean it’s damaged; sometimes they’re just afraid; all they need is a little love, and they have a lot to offer back.

Bubbles is more than ready to love and live a joyful life, free of the pain of her past, after four years and many surgery to remove the bullet that was still left in her body.

Her family claims she adores children and is both fun and kind with them.

Bubbles is now attending many events with her family in order to socialize and talk about her background, as well as to raise awareness about animal abuse, which, according to Kilyn, is all too frequent.

She said,

“Right now, we’re trying to get her to work with various animal rescue organizations to raise awareness about animal cruelty, including visiting to schools and talking to kids about how to properly care for animals. We want to hear your experience, but we want to focus on your future and show others that, while your past may have been difficult, your future does not have to be.

We also want to promote charity and respect to others.”

Since she was rescued, this bull terrier has amassed thousands of Instagram followers.

The Best Animal Honor Is Given To A Hero Dog With Prosthetic Paws That Survived Gunfire To Save Others

Kuno, a Belgian Malinois, has proven beyond a shred of doubt that dogs are indeed man’s greatest friend.

The Dickin Medal, the highest honour an animal may get within the British military, has been presented to the former British Army Working Dog who suffered life-changing injuries while helping British special troops in their fight against Al Qaeda (PDSA).

In human terms, that’s the animal equivalent of receiving the Victoria Cross, the United Kingdom’s version of the Medal of Honor.

The four-year-old military dog was used to assist British forces in their raid on a well-armed Al-Qaeda base.

Unfortunately, the assault team was pinned down by a hail of grenades and machine gun fire unleashed by an insurgent hiding in the complex and using night vision goggles.

Kuno was tasked with breaking the impasse after British and Afghan soldiers were unable to maneuver without suffering fatalities.

Kuno rushed through the compound’s entryway to assault the insurgent after being freed by his handler. Kuno had already disabled one terrorist and found a cache of concealed bombs during the operation.

Startled by Kuno’s sudden arrival, the gunman fired wildly into the darkness, injuring the dog in both hind legs. Kuno continued to press forward and threw himself at the gunman, biting his arm and wrestling him to the ground.

Despite his serious leg wounds, the dog continued to attack the Al-Qaeda fighter until the assault force entered the courtyard and cleared the building. Only then did he finally take a rest.

“His actions that day undoubtedly changed the course of a vital mission, saving multiple lives in the process. And despite serious, life-changing injuries, he performed his duty without faltering,” McLoughlin added in the release.

“For this bravery and devotion to duty, we are honored to welcome him as the latest recipient of the PDSA Dickin.”

Unfortunately, Kuno’s rear legs were severely wounded by the Al Qaeda fighter’s bullets, with one just missing a major artery.

Kuno had multiple major procedures before he was stable enough to return to the United Kingdom, despite getting life-saving field care from doctors in the back of a helicopter.

To avoid a life-threatening infection, a portion of one of his back paws was amputated.

Amazingly, the brave dog has recovered completely from his operation and is now the first U.K. Military Working Dog to be fitted with custom-made prosthetic limbs.

He’s “in good spirits and health,” according to the PDSA.

In a statement, British defense minister Ben Wallace stated, “I’m thrilled that Kuno will receive the PDSA Dickin Medal.” “It is a tribute to his training, unwavering bravery, and commitment to duty that he saved lives that day.”

“I am really proud of the role that our military working dogs perform in both domestic and international missions. Kuno’s story reminds us of the extent to which these creatures would go to ensure that we are all secure.”

Since its inception in December 1943, at the height of World War II, Kuno is the 72nd winner of the Dickin Medal.

To date, 35 dogs, 32 WW2 messenger pigeons, four horses, and one cat have been recipients.

Rescue Puppy Has A Tail On His Forehead And Is ‘Perfectly Healthy’

Meet Narwhal, a perfectly healthy rescue puppy with a surprising physical feature that makes him extra special.

The 10-week-old furball who was rescued by Mac’s Mission — a nonprofit dog rescue that predominately helps pups with special needs — has a small tail-like growth on his forehead.

Founder Rochelle Steffen told ABC News that they found the adorable light brown dog at a dump site in rural Jackson, Missouri, where she said “hundreds” [of dogs] have been dumped.

“He had x-rays and a vet visit yesterday and is a perfectly healthy puppy, with an extra tail on his face,” she explained. “There is no medical need to remove it currently and it is a third the size of his actual tail.”

Even though the unicorn tail makes Narwhal “THE COOLEST PUPPY EVER” the rescue organization said the tail does not wag.

The adorable light brown boy with a black nose and big brown eyes is thought to be a Daschund and Beagle mix, Steffen said.

“He is in no pain and plays for hours,” she added.

Mac’s Mission focuses on helping dogs with deformity, clefts and trauma “since those get euthanized far more than any others and there is a great need to give them a chance,” Steffens said. “We give them that chance.”

Because the nonprofit life-saving efforts are strictly grassroots through social media, Steffens explained that Narwhal’s story getting so much attention has been “majorly epic for so many new folks to find out about our little awesome rescue.”

“We really love our little Narwhal and the others he is helping here with the attention!”

Dog Left Behind By Her Family Hangs Out With Firefighters All Day Now

Ashley’s previous owners virtually ever fed her, seldom took her outdoors, and eventually abandoned her.

The 1-year-old pit bull was rescued in January 2017 by Erica Mahnken, creator of No More Pain Rescue, and her boyfriend Michael Favor.

“We received a call from someone reporting that a couple was residing in an abandoned house. They didn’t have heat or power, and there was a dog in the house “Shortly after the rescue, Mahnken informed The Dodo.

The pair presumably departed when a snowfall came. “I think they went looking for a warm place to stay and left the dog behind,” Mahnken speculated. “So we rushed and retrieved her as soon as we got the phone call.”

Favor ordered Mahnken to remain in the car while he went inside to look for the dog. Later, he’d tell Mahnken about how horrible it was. “The house was frigid since there was no electricity,” Mahnken added.

Ashley, on the other hand, was undamaged, and when Favor walked her out, she looked like the happiest dog on the block.

“She came racing down, giddy,” Mahnken remarked. “She hopped into my car right away.”

Ashley was emaciated and frail. “Her ribs were all you could see since she was so thin. She was also 25 pounds underweight, according to the vet.”

Ashley also had cigarette burns on the top of her head, which they observed.

Because No More Pain Rescue does not have a physical shelter, Mahnken and Favor had to find Ashley a foster home right away. They knew there used to be a dog at the Fort Pitt station because they had pals in the New York City Fire Department (FDNY). As a result, Mahnken and Favor requested the firemen to keep Ashley until they could find her a suitable home.

Ashley appeared to be content with the situation.

“Her tail was wagging as soon as she stepped into the firehouse, and she was kissing and welcoming everyone,” Mahnken added. “She was overjoyed. You wouldn’t anticipate it coming from her background. You’d think she’d be a bit nervous, but she wasn’t in the least.”

Not unexpectedly, the firefighting team contacted Mahnken a few days later, requesting that Ashley be kept.

“‘We’re going to adopt her,’ they said. We are really enamored with her. ‘She feels at ease here,’ says the narrator “Mahnken said. “So I was ecstatic. And I knew as soon as I walked her in there that she belonged there.”

Ashley now lives at the firehouse full-time.

“She’s always on the go — she goes on shorter runs with them, she rides in the fire truck with them,” Mahnken explained. “They take her for a stroll approximately 30 times a day. They take her up on the roof to play with her. She’s always watching them dine in the kitchen. She has a never-ending supply of snacks. She’s living the high life over there.”

According to Mahnken, Ashley even has a seat on the fire engine.

A Newborn Aardvark Has Been Born At Chester Zoo For The First Time In Its 90-Year History

An eight-year-old mum Oni and six-year-old father Koos recently have become the parents of a baby aardvark. The baby aardvark has been born in the Chester Zoo and has become the first aardvark born there.

The staff named the baby Dobby because of the resemblance to the loved Harry Potter character. The baby was born with floppy ears, hairless wrinkly skin, and giant claws. The baby was being hand-cared by the zoo staff so as to gain weight and feel better sooner.

Aardvarks are indigenous in Sub-Saharan Africa where they are threatened by habitat loss. They are also caught because of their meat.

It is very bad to announce the birth of such an amazing creature in captivity, however, such births enable us to find out more about unique animals, their behaviors, biology, etc.

Hidden Camera Catches Cute Bear Cub Having A Bath With A Toy Bear He Found

Tamarack, an orphaned bear cub, was rescued from a wildfire zone in Northern California last year. The poor one’s paws were scorched in the flames.

Tamarack was being treated at a wildlife rehabilitation center when he decided that it was not his place and escaped. The bear went back to the wildlife.

However, the bear was still alive and was living very happily after his trauma. Toogee Sielsch, a wildlife lover, has been tracking Tamarack’s activities on trail cameras. The bear was luckily not alone. He was with a little teddy bear that he found and befriended. This video shows one of the happiest moments of the bear’s life as he was joyfully taking a bath with his lovely toy.
