He’s not big for his age, he’s huge, a maine coon so big people mistake him for a dog!

KEFIR THE CAT LIVES WITH HIS MOM YULIYA MININA IN STARY OSKOL, RUSSIA. WHAT’S AMAZING ABOUT KEFIR IS THAT AT THE AGE OF ONLY 9 MONTHS HE ALREADY WEIGHTS AN INCREDIBLE 27 POUNDS.
What’s more, as a young Maine Coon cat he still has 2 more years of growth to go!

Yulia had seen Kefir at a local cattery and immediately fell in love. She had chosen his name Kefir because it is a dairy drink that seems to fit his milk-white fur to perfection.

he loves her larger-than-life feline, the only drawback being the amount of fur he leaves about the house.

However, he has well and truly become part of the family, often joining them at the table for dinner.

“It’s funny how others react when they see the cat because it is huge. Many people think that it’s a dog at first.”

Yuliya added that Kefir has developed a habit to jump on her at night when she sleeps. “He didn’t do that when he was smaller and it wouldn’t be that inconvenient, but now the cat became very big and heavy. It’s not that easy to sleep like that.”

“But in general, this is a super-smart cat. It weirdly can feel the general mood in the house. Kefir doesn’t meow, doesn’t yell, and doesn’t harm the furniture. A truly perfect cat.”

We think that Kefir is a beautiful kitty and hope that you feel the same.

Read these characteristics which almost all cat lovers have in common:

INTROVERTED AND SENSITIVE
It’s the nature of cats that they are not friends with everybody, and the same trait can be seen in their owners too. Usually, they live alone and are happy with their independent lifestyle. They are introverts but are comfortable hanging around with other people. However, they would need some me-time to relax and recharge.

CAT LOVERS LEAN TO LEFT
It has been observed that people with liberal political leanings prefer cats over dogs. You might be a liberal dog lover or a conservative cat owner; if you’re a liberal, you love cats and vice versa.

CAT OWNERS ARE OPEN-MINDED
Five traits – conscientiousness, neuroticism, extraversion, agreeableness, and openness are often seen in most cat lovers. As compared to dog owners, people who have cats as pets are more open and therefore, have greater artistic creativity.

ATTENTION SEEKERS
Just like their pets, cat lovers seek attention from people around them. They like to be the centre of all conversations. At times, cat owners rely on their pets for emotional support.

THEY RESPECT CATS MORE THAN ANYONE
Cat people respect cats more than humans, in general. The saddest sight for a cat lover is to see the animal on the streets without a home. Cat lovers are often seen making a special effort to rescue or rehabilitate homeless cats.
