Covered in wounds, cowering under a car, it was almost as if she was pleading for help!

SHE WAS OUT ONE DAY SHE THOUGHT SHE SAW A STRANGE-LOOKING CAT COWERING UNDER A CAR.
Nur Hamizah Had, from Malaysia, took a closer look, not quite believing her eyes, Nur saw a very sick cat peering back at her. How the cat was still alive Nur was not sure? Covered in wounds, and fungal infections, the sickly feline seemed to be pleading for help.

One of her legs was badly damaged, it seemed she might lose it. So being an animal lover, as well as a cat lover, Nur decided to help, and see if she could turn this cat’s life around before it was too late.

NUR MANAGED TO COAX THE STREET CAT INTO A BOX, IN THE PROCESS FINDING OUT HOW BAD THE SKINNY CAT SMELT.

Instead of being disgusted, as many people would, Nur took the cat to a vet who found her to be severely malnourished and dehydrated, weighing only 2kg.

Not knowing if the cat would survive Nur gave her the name Meimei, deciding if she made it it would be a sign she was meant to live. Also, a sign that Nur would take care of her for the rest of her life.

AFTER TAKING THE CAT TO THE VET, NUR WAS GIVEN A LIST OF INSTRUCTIONS TO GIVE MEIMEI THE BEST CHANCE AT A BETTER LIFE.
Good things take time, as they say, as was the case with Meimei. It took almost six months for her to get back to her old self. After 1 year, with Nur’s love, care, and kindness, Meimei is unrecognizable, wearing a coat of snow-white fur, a confident cat full of fluff! She also weighs 6kg now which is a good sign. Nur soon proved to be a loving kitty who likes to snuggle with people she knows. However, she is a bit afraid of strangers.

It took 5 months for Meimei to recover into the beautiful cat she is today.

Meimei’s snow-white fur grew back and her health is amazing!

Meimei is now a loved and spoiled house cat with all the care she needs.

Read these characteristics which almost all cat lovers have in common:

INTROVERTED AND SENSITIVE
It’s the nature of cats that they are not friends with everybody, and the same trait can be seen in their owners too. Usually, they live alone and are happy with their independent lifestyle. They are introverts but are comfortable hanging around with other people. However, they would need some me-time to relax and recharge.

CAT LOVERS LEAN TO LEFT
It has been observed that people with liberal political leanings prefer cats over dogs. You might be a liberal dog lover or a conservative cat owner; if you’re a liberal, you love cats and vice versa.

CAT OWNERS ARE OPEN-MINDED
Five traits – conscientiousness, neuroticism, extraversion, agreeableness, and openness are often seen in most cat lovers. As compared to dog owners, people who have cats as pets are more open and therefore, have greater artistic creativity.

ATTENTION SEEKERS
Just like their pets, cat lovers seek attention from people around them. They like to be the centre of all conversations. At times, cat owners rely on their pets for emotional support.

THEY RESPECT CATS MORE THAN ANYONE
Cat people respect cats more than humans, in general. The saddest sight for a cat lover is to see the animal on the streets without a home. Cat lovers are often seen making a special effort to rescue or rehabilitate homeless cats.
