Costa Blanca Massive Shark Closes Beaches As It Lurks In Spain’s Waters

Authorities raised a red flag on the beaches of Moraira after a huge shark was spotted lurking in the waters inshore.

Yesterday, Saturday, October 2, the Town Council of Teulada in Alicante raised red flags on the beaches of Moraira.

The decision came after officers from the Guardia Civil spotted a huge shark lurking close to shore in the water.

Officers from the Guardia Civil had been carrying out a routine check of the water when the shark was first spotted.

.A diver also quickly raised the alarm after a routine dive and reported the same findings after swimming close to the shark.

The Teulada Town Council was tipped off quickly to the presence of a shark in the Moraira area by the Guardia Civil and the National Police.

For public safety, the beaches of El Portet, L’Ampolla, and Platgetes were evacuated as people ran from the water like a scene of the movie Jaws.

Experts called in are now working to determine if the shark or sharks are dangerous.

Officers from both the National police and the Guardia Civil began investigations to find out what type of shark was spotted.

They too are working to decide if it poses any danger.

The authorities have now banned anyone from bathing on the coast of Teulada Moraira until they can determine if it is safe.
