A Ukrainian animal shelter received a phone complaint about a dog from neighbors who said that the home’s owners were drinkers and beat the animals after drinking alcohol.
This elderly pet was found while chained to a pole without a collar when rescuers arrived; the chain was looped around the dog’s neck and was padlocked.
The team of rescuers fed him with food and water and, given the circumstances, decided it was appropriate to bring the pet to the animal shelter. They removed the lock around the dog’s neck using a metal cutter, freeing it from its restraints.
Hurriedly, they sent the dog to the clinic, where he spent two weeks recuperating. As time went on, it became increasingly clear that this dog would not have been able to survive had they not intervened. Fortunately, he was eventually allowed to leave with the other dogs. He was given the opportunity to live happily ever after.
His name would have to be Kross at this point. As soon as he got to the shelter, he jumped right into the training and workouts and quickly made a lot of new pals. He’s now looking for a forever home where he can be loved and cared for.
