100 Horses Were Awaiting Death In Island

A group of around 100 horses were stranded on a small piece of land when waters rose unexpectedly after a fierce storm in a village in Netherlands. The storm pushed seawater into the wilderness area outside the dikes of Marrum. 19 horses lost their lives while the remaining horses were stuck on a lowland knoll for three days. Firemen and animal welfare officers brought food and water for the horses to keep up their strength. Rescue attempts were made but without any success.

On the third day however, an extraordinary rescue was made. Another storm was quickly approaching when someone posted a request on a horse forum seeking experienced riders without fear of water. Some female riders responded. One of them, Norma Miedema, started a group called the Netherlands Horse Rescue.

This group of seven women met the following day and risked their own lives in order to save the horses. They were later honored for their courage and bravery.

Woman Adds Oatmeal To Houseplants To Stop Them From Dying, But That’s Not Her Only Trick

I’m about to admit to something: I don’t know how to look after the plants in the house (and even in the garden for that matter). I love to garden. Not only is it a great way to get in some much-needed “me time” but it also adds to the aesthetics of the home and makes it look much more beautiful on the outside. My family and I usually make it a day out gardening. We go to the local nursery where we pick out the flowers and plants want to keep, buy the right soil to help them flourish, and then take the rest of the day to just plant away. If the weather cooperates, we usually end this day with a nice barbeque.

But, as much as I like to spend time selecting the plants I want both inside and outside the home, and then working on growing them, they eventually lose their perk and shine and die—sometimes a lot quicker than anticipated. If you feel the same about yours, then this tutorial is just right for you.

Although there are plenty of products you can buy from the store to help keep your plants healthy, you don’t always need to turn to your local hardware chain to give you a hand. There are so many at-home DIY, proven experiments you can try to help revive your houseplants; three tried-and-tested ones are listed in the video below.

If you find that you need to perk up your plants, stop them from withering away, or even rid them of the dry mildew that collects, then here’s what you need:

oatmeal
aspirin
castor oil
water
dish soap
A combination of the ingredients listed above will make for the perfect remedy for those plants. You can now make these solutions right at home and help them grow faster and stronger.
